I believe that it would be very odd and rare for an OTA to be delivered to a vehicle, yet the same update wasn't available in FDRS. (usually beforehand)

Not saying it couldn't happen.
Or even that it hasn't.
But certainly unusual

We'll, I've seen things take a while to show up in FDRS for a vehicle. And often show up in FDRS long before OTA. I just hadn't seen anyone report seeing a new APIM update in FDRS recently.

Yeah, it's been a while since Ford released a new compile for the Mach-E Sync.
But I keep thinking that it could be any day now since they recently released Sync 24127 for the F150. (in FDRS. I don't know if anyone has gotten it OTA yet)

That's the first compile dated 2024.
It updated a previous compile that was very close to the same day the current Mach-E compile was done (23352)

I think so? It's an APIM update.
Yeah I can confirm I’ve seen 2022s with it pending in FDRS. No other model years yet. They are on LJ8T-14H021-RAH revision for GWM which is likely the 10.0.0 update pre-req for that model (and I think it’s the same for 21s). 2023s will have a different GWM pre-req.

Has anyone seen these module updates appear in FDRS? Has it been confirmed which modules are updated?
I updated my car with FDRS yesterday, and an APIM update appeared after I started working on the car. I now can access the charging app while driving, so I guess that APIM update from FDRS did it. (2022 Premium ER 4WD). My GWM was on the RAH version. APIM is now LJ8T-044R30-AC

Last info from internal guy who was really supportive on FordCommunity forum (https://fpcommunity.ford.com/) before they closed it.
Info is from July 30 2024:
----------
We are progressively dropping the Ford Power-Up nomenclature for Software updates and it will soon disappear. You will start to see them simply referred to as 'Priority Update', 'Software Update' or occassionally 'Feature update'. The numbering will also look different and it will be less prominent. We will be putting more focus instead on the Release Note content itself.

This will be a transition and the current and near future updates may have the older format.

The Software Update 6 series will shortly end. The next numbering will be 10.x.x

After the first few 10.x.x updates, the volume and frequency of updates is likely to reduce for a while for Mustang Mach-E, as we will have provided many of the current major updates for this vehicle. You will therefore start to see much less frequent updates and a smaller quantity.
----------

This unofficial list of updates seems to be updated, still: https://github.com/elmedico27/fordpowerup
Here, you can see the changes done: https://github.com/elmedico27/fordpowerup/commits/main/

Sounds like updates are over after the Karaoke app, should we take that as the Sync 4A system is effectively EOL'd? Do we think the 2025 MachE and Lightning will get the next gen Android Automative system?

Some missing things that would be nice to implement yet (on my list at least)....
  • Charge speed in the car display (the 24 Lightnings do this, so should be possible)
  • More video entertainment options (maybe ChromeCast/AirPlay support so people don't complain that their favorite service isn't included)
  • Turn signal cameras (The Lightning does this, but only when towing...dumb)
  • Pre 2024 GT/GTPE limiter enhancements (yea, I know...not happening)
  • Native drive cam support and a sentry-type mode (Maybe when fish can fly)

Yeah, biggest issue for me currently is no kW charge speed indication in the vehicle and also the 1kph/1mph bug. Both are IPC related. The 1kph/1mph bug is only affecting 2021/2022 from what I can see. When Ford accidentally pushed 2023 IPC software to my car last year, I did not have this issue. Then I reverted back to the proper 2021 software and its happening all the time now.

All the other things are less likely to happen in my opinion, but would be nice for sure. Really would like sentry mode type security, like they talked about when the Mach-E first released. Also the pet mode that was talked about and ”coming soon”.

I could be wrong, but I’d think it’s more likely just a change to the numbering system. Like Apple changing the Mac OS numbering from OSX 10.x for like 15 years to now OS 11, 12, 13, etc. for the last five years.
I miss OS X (pronounced "oh ess ten") and all the cool cat names ?

Our 2023 cars both have the 1mph bug, so its not just 2021/2022

Interesting, must be in all versions of the 6.8 IPC update then.
