I appreciate your reply, but I am not convinced you are correct. Do you have the ability to diagnose my car specifically as your response seems to imply that you have or are you speculating based on your experience with these matters? I have had this happen before, (and I am the only one), and it was not a mechanical issue, but a software one. The indicator light was not on before I plugged in, and it was on when I unplugged and turned on my car. In other posts through this forum, I have noted others instances where the charger triggered this fault. The most recent update to my car's software from Ford has a bug fix for this specific issue due to certain chargers causing this fault. That update occurred after my fault was triggered. Unless you have specifically checked my car's computer, I am inclined to believe this is a software issue and not a mechanical one.
