Well,

The day has come.... since no OTAs are coming figured take the 21 in for all the outstanding recalls.

Drop off Monday morning.

Offered to take a loaner EV since we got some L2 at home.

Fingers crossed that things go well and quickly.


As a note Ford corporate started calling daily about the HVBJB recall so I figured i'm on someones naughty list.

I did the same thing 3 weeks ago. Mine took a full week with most of that at the glass installer. They gave me a loaner and everything came out great.

Mine is in for 4 recalls/TSBs, but not the windshield, and a camera fault. Been there since last Wed and still not done. Monday they were waiting on the HVBJB and the cable for the camera. The charge port issue is just a module update.

I also got calls and emails from Ford but was waiting until I figured the dealers had some experience doing the HVBJB recall. Edit: Got the car back yesterday. Also a '21 Premium AWD ER

It didn't show on the dashboard, but the service advisor told me I also needed CSP 22P31 (replace connector to Electronic Park Brake on the rear calipers [1.9 hours]), which they did along with CSP 23B50 (SOBDM reprogram [0.7 hours]) and the recall 23S56/23V687 (HVBJB).

They made sure to have the part in before they took the car for service.

No EVs as loaners so got a cool ICE Ford Escape, but they did provide pick up and drop off which was nice.

I asked and they agreed to update any available software modules, though it took some pressure with lookups from the good folks over at the "Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others" thread to verify that the dealership actually did update everything.

Its playing out like a slow moving horror story....

After leaving a few messages asking about status I dropped by the dealer on Saturday only to hear that they "Got the wrong part and are waiting on the right parts".

So 2 weeks - no work completed - waiting on parts - zero callbacks on messages

But hey I got a Bronco Sport loaner while I'm waiting.

Got another corporate email about the recall tonight - started a chat and was provided the Ford Parts center to help get the parts.

Two weeks ago I received the new charging tray and a $50 gift card for taking my MME in for service.

The 30K points showed up in my account a few days after the service; the letter with the QR code for a $50 gift card and the replacement charging tray/mat were delivered two weeks after the recall was completed. @Ford Motor Company did good!

zvez - Yes, I only wanted the HVBJB recall done but the dealer is seeing everything and wants to do it all. Go figure.

The real question is how long do I wait for part availability??

My car has been in for over three weeks now. The HVJB, charge port and door hems are done, but the holdup is a camera fault that they cannot seem to fix. Apparently installed a new IPMA module and cannot seem to program it.

The 30000 points just showed up in my account and the recall has cleared, but the car is still not returned.

What Parts aren’t available at this time? The HVBJB? I need my recall done and would have thought by now that part would be readily available.
