Has anyone installed the Eibach GT lowering springs on a premium RWD? I'm curious to know if it will drop the full 1.4" that Eibach says GTs will drop by.

There are several Eibach springs threads in which this question has been asked and discussed before. To answer again, as of right now, no one has posted their RWD Mach-E lowered with the Eibach GT springs. I have commented that the springs will fit without issue but the drop most likely will not be as much especially in the front since it is not as heavy as an AWD Mach-E.

I have a Premium RWD SR, and I was one of those who asked this question as well :).

I'm really eager to purchase and get these GT springs installed, but I'm waiting to see if Eibach will hold a Black Friday sale like last year. If not, I might purchase them anyway.

But once I get them installed, I'll make sure to post an update!

Steve is correct. The reason everyone is changing springs is for a better ride. I was the first to do this over a year ago and found out the progressive springs are what give the Mach-E a softer ride. The ONLY springs you want to install are the GT progressive springs and will work on any trim.

There is a progressive spring application listed now for standard and extended range battery RWD on the Eibach site, it seems like the RWD Extended Range would be the correct fit for your car, but nobody has tried and posted it, perhaps.

Speaking for myself personally only, I have a Premium standard battery AWD and none of these options seem to fit my car exactly. Perhaps comparing the curb weight of each option would be the way to get the best fit for our car. I'm interested in reducing the bouncy-ness in the ride with a progressive spring and I think we can live with the ride height reduction.

Just my thoughts after putting about a years worth of ride on the GT kit. The actual GT is a hair heavier than a Premium due to the slightly bigger motor. I have played around with adding 10 to 90lbs in the frunk in order to try to break the crispness of the front end. To me it feels like it needs just a hair more weight or tire pressure on a premium in the front for the springs to flow. Otherwise there's a tiny (much lighter than the stock Premium AWD springs) amount of front end pop. Where the nose looks like it jumps up and back down real fast. This is seen in the headlights on walls and the back of other cars the easiest. The stock premium AWD springs were just a pop'fest. From what I've done anything over 35lbs added to the frrunk seems to almost use up the first stage of the GT spring (which is about 3/8ths of an inch of travel).

The Eibach GT (progressive) fronts really help smooth that out and even more with tire pressure over ~38psi (you have the compression of the tire first, then the force on the springs when hitting a bump. If the tire is too soft the tire compresses before the suspension gets the force. I have run my Pzero AS Elects down to 30 psi *cold pressure coming out of the garage* and all the minor bumps on my street are gone. But hop on the freeway and the concrete 'whoops' are amplified because the tires just mush and mush and the dampers never get used.)

RWD only is going to be missing several hundred pounds in the front (the awd motor is missing) which would make the front suspension worse as the GT's 800/1100 spring rate is higher than the ~700 RWD front spring rate (this 700 is a WAG as I'm not sure we've ever gotten the factory rates for these)

My Premium measures at the wheel wells (after about 10k miles on these springs):
28.75 Front
28.5 Front with 40lbs in the frunk
28.5 Rear

Also the RWD front struts will have a different rate (if Ford did math correctly)

Hey Jim, a couple of things.....

Eibach has always only made two sets of Pro-kit lowering springs for the Mach-E.
All trims except GT Part# E10-35-054-03-22 for AWD/RWD, STD and EXT batteries.
GT only Part# E10-35-054-04-22 (also works on GTPE but Eibach never tested that model)

They also make a Sportline lowering kit which is lower and stiffer than the Pro-line and
a Pro-lift spring set to lift the car like the Rally.

I have mentioned this many times in many threads that the ONLY set that have progressive springs for both front and rear is the GT only Pro-kit Part#E10-35-054-04-22. That is the kit that everyone no matter what trim they have has been installing to get a better ride out of the Mach-E. So if that is your intention, that is the spring set to get. Depending on what trim you have after installing these springs will determine your final ride height.

Back in January I started a thread on lowering the GTPE with Eibach's Pro-kit springs. In my first post, I have the specs on their springs and what the drop or lift would be depending on the trim you install them on: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/eibach-gt-pro-kit-lowering-springs-on-a-gtpe.33310/

Looking at these:
https://eibach.com/product/E10-35-054-03-22?epsid=2886

Coming out of a 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4 with 2.5" lift... so my Mach-E rides like a dream (in comparison)...

But love the look of @Bruboy blue Mach-E above...
Hank, read my post that is just above yours. If you are interested in a smoother riding Mach-E, you don't want that springs set. The rears are linear and 1000 lb spring rate. You want the GT only spring set E10-35-054-04-22 no matter what trim you have.

One quick question - who does the install?
Any suspension shop can do it. Many tire shops do suspension work also. I do my own and several here have also but you need to have some specialized tools and good mechanical skills.
