These are my available updates. Finished off the Door Control Modules. Can I do all the rest? Any particular order?
The general rule is GWM, APIM, TCU and IPC in that order as they appear, but you are not showing any of those, so you can do them in any order. CMR will take 45-60 minutes and the IPMA will take 3 hours. IPMA and PSCM are chained, so don't start either one unless you have the time to see them through. Before starting the IPMA/PSCM combo, make sure your LVB is charged to 100% and the charger is on power supply mode.

Amazing, keep us posted!!
So I tried the Topdon RLink J2534 and it didn't go well. I checked it was fully updated and had the latest drivers installed before buying a 1hr license for FDRS and seeing if I could get a frunk that opens from inside, Bluecruise (even 1.0) or maybe even Android Auto battery connectivity. FDRS detected the adapter fine and performed a network scan with no issues. Sadly it only found the IPMA update I couldn't do with the VCX FD and new BCM and PSCM update.

I thought I'd try the BCM hoping that might get the frunk opening but the update failed just after erasing the memory blocks. Since the BCM is quite important nothing worked. Dead car. Backlit central screen but no response from the start button or anything really. I re-tried the update as I felt it couldn't make it any worse and no luck second time either. Switched over to the VCX FD and luckily that was able to update the BCM with no issues and the car came back to life and pretty much to the state it was in prior. Still no frunk opening from the Sync button though.

Overall I wouldn't recommend either the Topdon RLink J2534 (which completely bricked the car) or the VCX FD (which didn't update some modules but didn't cause any damage and did repair the damage from the Topdon unit).

VCM2, VCM3 or Mongoose Plus are still by far the best option. I did wonder about trying a UCDS V5 though...

Thank you so much for testing that out for us. Good to note, Mongoose is the best option!!

I have previously. The button shows up but nothing happens when it's pressed. Nothing from the emergency release button in the frunk either. I'm not too bothered to be honest but I'll keep waiting just in case it starts to work one day!

The GFM module was also part of this, but yours seems to be updated. Weird.

Great info for others to learn from.....appreciate the share.

If your BC has never worked, it may be a config issue. Euro spec cars are different from US based vehicle, but PM me your VIN if you're interested in trying to get your BC issue sorted out. I can't say for sure I'll be able to help you fix it, but I might be able to help.

yes its purple
Purple means it is bricked. You can TRY to PMI it and when FDRS asks if it is the original module, make sure you select "no" to see if that fixes it. If it does not due to limitations of the device you are using, you will need a Mongoose to recover the IPMA.
