I’m currently using it as it was on a free trials 3 months but since there is no change lane I assume despite I have a ‘23 Mach-e I’m still having bc 1 , so I don’t plan to pay when trial expire just to drive straight … I would have maybe think taking the plan in case I had at least 1.3 but since the ford approaches with the update just sucks I wouldn’t go for it: at the end of the day it’s just less money for them

You know I was just thinking about all the times I use blue cruise 1.3 and then I thought of that one time there was shit all over the road and I never felt very strongly about the blue cruise again after that.

Don't worry...one day you will too know this feeling and then not care TOO much about the blue cruise, these thoughts will pass.

I’d avoid the shit in the road exactly the same way having blue cruise or not.

I think that if you bother to be hands off with blue cruise it puts you at a disadvantage...then you are defacto just using copilot a that point hands on.

You speak with much conviction. Do you have actual source to this, or just your speculation?

From my understanding, this update is still in the pipeline...
It is still in the pipeline because it's still an item in the board, but there is nothing allocated to competing it and it keeps getting push further down.

There is no "source" because it is still technically on the list... Just like taking down my Christmas lights from 2019 is still on my to do list, so I haven't forgot about it...

Both my cars have BC 1.0. I don’t care if I ever get 1.3 or not. Only the latest with automatic lane change would make me keep the subscription anyway. And that’s not happening so I just can’t bring myself to waste the mental energy to care about 1.0 vs 1.3. I bought the cars before 1.0 was even a thing and I was willing to pay for them without any BC.

And today (13 Nov) this showed up for cars that aren't '21 models....better and better.

...and if fiscal annual quarters are the same for everybody...aren't we in Q1 of 2025 now?

I'm not an accountant by any means, but isn't Oct/Nov/Dec Q4 of 2024?

If it isn't, then I don't want to understand. ?

Ok. In one post I am going to club to death a whole bunch of red herrings…

First, let’s start with “better communication”:

It is sad that @Ford Motor Company simply sucks so bad at communication. When they do, whatever they say ends up being wrong which goes back to why they are not communicating with anyone. Just be honest with us. If they are having issues getting updates rolled out for our model year than at least just tell us. More importantly appease us by saying that you are working on things and that you will continue to provide us information about updates to our vehicles when new information becomes available.
That being said, a simple communication from Ford either way would be appreciated. We were originally included in their communication; then someone posted last week or so that the website de-listed the 2021's from the future 1.3 OTA.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT COMMUNICATION. What good will it do for Ford to send us a third or fourth “update” that they “appreciate our patience”? No good at all. Ford needs to install the damned software

It seems to me that there is either a fix or there isn't. If they haven't found it by now, you have to wonder if they'll ever find it.
There is already a solution. Issue a CSP, just like they did for BC1.0, permitting dealers to install the damned the software at no cost to us. Ford refuses to do this because it costs them money.

The BC updates are available in FDRS if you want to apply them with a laptop. But if you want them OTA, you have to wait for Ford to go through its growing pains in the delivery process.
Oh, it’s just that simple, huh? You forgot to mention that this costs about $1,000 in laptop, software license, and Mongoose adapter. Why in the hell should we have to incur that expense when the dealer should be permitted to do it at Ford’s expense?

If you aren't going to pay the ridiculous (my opinion) subscription price for Bluecruise anyway, then it seems strange to fret the OTA struggle.
Um… what about the people who already paid for a three-year renewal based upon the promise of updated software? I’m already a year into my renewal with no update in sight.

I really don’t see how anyone is defending Ford at this point, other than to be contrarian. Ford could install the software manually on 2021s, but refuses to do so. End stop.

Clearly you are upset, passionate, and want no logic to interrupt your rage, so I won't point out that there are mongoose adapters available for loan from multiple members of the forums, and that myself and others have dozen hundreds of upgrades for others free of charge.

They could/should also install the update via OTA but they won't.

Annoyingly I have to deal both with Fiscal year that starts October 1 and Calendar year.

But I agree most companies report on calendar, at least publicly.

For the purpose of this update, and any Ford updates or deliveries, Q1 2025 starts in September 2025 and goes through September 2026....
