I’m begging someone to please help me resolve my issue. Around November 11 I was involved in a low speed NYC fender bender. The amount of damage to my 2021 rapid red Premium was that the jumper flap popped open, the wires hanging out a little, front bumper and hood with a little damage. The frunk and framing was not damaged. Immediately after the accident my car would not start. The flashers worked for a while then everything shut down and all of the doors were ajar.
Towed the car to Englewood Ford of NJ, many test later they cannot figure how to wake the vehicle. The technician states the computer indicated codes that were not even in his technical manual. All of the items modules seem to work but the car isn’t receiving the wake up signal. The battery is charged to 90%. I have 70K on the car.
Now 30 days have passed and Geico told me my rental will no longer be covered. I called Ford consumer affairs and they told me that because of the accident they will not help me with a car rental. I just today gave Enterprise rental $798 for a deposit and future payment on another rental for the week. As the weeks goes buy I have to pay another $398.
It seems that these Mach E vehicles are nothing but toys. How can it be acceptable that Ford engineering and the technicians can’t fix my car and leave me on an island by myself to be without a car, paying a $800 car payment, renting a car with no end insight. This SUCKS!
I humbly come to this community for help. If anyone knows anyone of authority or media please help me. Please call Ford of Englewood NJ to give them suggestions. Call consumer affairs and complain that you just found out that if you are in even a minor fender bender as mine, every warranty is immediately voided and that infact we are driving toys that they do not stand behind. Lastly, if you have any advice to guide me through this ordeal I welcome it at my work email: [email protected]

Again please help me and thank you for your time….

There is a thread where you can share your VIN and members will look into your vehicle’s error codes. I suggest you go to that thread and share your VIN.

They have looked at modules. Today they changed the BCM Ng like that and it didn’t work. They check the modules and they said those are fine. It’s just not communicating to wake the vehicle.

If they changed out the BCM today, they haven't thrown in the towel.

At least not yet.
And I can see why they would hope that the BCM was the culprit.

Since whatever the issue is came about from an accident, it sure would have me looking deep for a pinch somewhere. And obviously it's not something easy to see.

This may help you, maybe not.
I also have a small bump in front; the result was the radar sensor.
It is right there, behind the bumper. They should check it.

What about the restraint module (RCM) that is watching for an impact and as you stated the doors are all ajar making it think it was in a collision and opening the doors for safety.

Other codes. But the mechanic says nothing can be looked at until the car wakes up

I would look at the CCM because it is between the flaps in the bumper and is easily damaged by an impact. Have they removed the bumper cover and inspected the front area?

Have they done a TRON ( trusted real-time operation network) procedure?
