I deleted my key, was able to add it again, but deleting key deleted my backup start code. And it won't recognize the new key to add another start code.
Same. I can still create what ford pass identified as PAAKS. However, the app will only now lock, unlock, start, stop. And for those 30 seconds, I could get the other things done - windows, frunk, rear hatch. But before this, I used it completely as a key. Left fob at home for months abs just used my phone.

Hopefully there will be some patch to fix

Anyone else with issues recently? Samsung S24 Ultra. All permissions are granted, it just decided it doesn't want to work anymore. I've tried deleting the phone from the app and reinstalling but no luck.

Anyone got any guesses on how to fix this or a work around? I really don't want to start carrying around my keys again after not having done so for so long.

Is brand new owner of a 2024 with new iPhone and have never been able to connect to Paak. Very frustrating. Even FordPass rep can’t figure it out.

Same situation here...S24U stopped working as a key (to turn on car). It at least does unlock and such an l that's already on our fob. Guess I'm now using a fob until fixed. Really enjoyed just using my phone.

Since I’ve never been able to set up Paak, what exactly does it allow you to do? Lock/unlock and start car I assume.
What about if you valet? How does that work?
Thanks

We are aware of issues that customers with certain Android devices are having with using Phone-As-A-Key (PaaK) function to start their vehicle, after a recent mobile operating system software update. While we work to resolve the issue with our technology partners, we recommend customers utilize their key fobs, Securicode keypad or PaaK to lock or unlock their doors, frunk or trunk. To start the vehicle, the key fob or Backup Passcode will be required. If you don’t have a Backup Passcode, learn how to set up here. If you already have a Backup Passcode enabled, please do not delete the PaaK Device Keys in the FordPass app, or conduct a reset of PaaK as either will revoke your vehicle access.

So what about iOS users?
I’m a new Mach e owner, only one week, and have NEvER been able to connect my phone as a PaaK. I’ve even had a FordPass rep try for over an hour with no luck.
we’ve tried everything except a full factory reset.

Post anything you hear and i will too. They opened an escalated ticket for this issue giving my 8-10 business days. Plus when they tried to fix it over the phone, they lost my trial Blue Cruise valid until 11/16/26

Following all these to get it working. Hate carrying phone and fob

What if PAAK has been removed and re-added several times from Ford Support? ALl those resets also lost my trial subscription of BC through 11/26. Will that restore access to the vehicle?

Ford Support DM'd me - suggesting I try the fix-all resetting Sync (Seek Right + Power Button). I tried - and Nothing Happened! - wouldn't reset!! Anyone else try that?

They had me try this several times...never worked. This morning, Samsung had me reset my mobile networks..I tried PAAK again. I could see the BT icon next to "Controls" bold/bright and it'd work....but about 30 seconds later, it'd dim out - and that was too fast a time for me to finish entering my backup password. I've posed on Samsung Members board as well.

It's Vol down + seek right on the steering wheel controls to reboot the infotainment. Doesn't fix the current problem, but sometimes you need to do this for other reasons.

What's wild to me is that I think PAAK works on a Bluetooth connection, and I still have wireless Android Auto and my phone connects for phone calls and texts through Bluetooth, but when I try to re-establish my backup start code (after Ford support told me to delete my PAAK profile in the car and FordPass app), it can't establish a Bluetooth connection.

It’s a completely different and separate Bluetooth connection

Sure, but why and why can't the car recognize one all of a sudden and not the other.
