I too have had recent issues with PaaK. The frustrating part is that there is zero consistency. One day it will work, the next it won't. This makes it useless as nobody wants to get stranded. In the late 90's Ford had a slogan that "Quality is Job 1". They need to go back to this in the software realm.

PAAK not working; did (online) suggested troubleshooting to no avail. Contacted Ford thru MyFord app. Quick response :) A software upgrade disabled the PAAK. Solution: go to Settings in vehicle and use “Reset Phone as a Key.” Next time you start car, main screen will offer to set up PAAK. Problem solved ??

If you’re an Android user and are having issues with the reliability of Phone as a Key, first check that battery optimization is not turned on and you have selected the option “allowing the battery to be used in the background without restrictions” for FordPass in your device’s settings. Please refer to your device’s help resources for more specific instructions, as these steps may vary depending on the make and model of your Android smartphone.
(iPhone user) Contacted Ford thru MyFord app. Quick response :) A software upgrade disabled the PAAK. Solution: go to Settings in vehicle and use “Reset Phone as a Key.” Next time I started car, main screen offered to set up PAAK. Problem solved ??

My PAAK was working fine for months. As of yesterday, it stopped working. Every attempt to re-activate has failed. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
Constantly. I’ve almost given up

Doesn't that remove all phones from the vehicle? My phone has always worked good but my wife's phone was having problems so I removed her phone from fordpass and reset Paak on her phone and it works great now. I didn't see any reason to reset my phone by resetting paak in the vehicle .

PAAK has been very erratic for the past 2 weeks. It was great (95%) for the past few months. Pixel 8 Pro. I regularly have to disable/enable Bluetooth on my phone to unlock and start the car. Frustrating...

1. Power off the phone. Then power back on.
2. How many Blue Tooth devices do you have? I had 20......

I have a Pixel 7 Pro.

Mine has been super eratic lately. I have had to delete and re-do it about 1/week for the 3rd time. Last night I got stranded as the keyboard would not pop up so I could type in my password when PAAK did not work. Luckily I was close to home and my husband drove to me with my fob. I now have a fob hidden in my car in a faraday bag. I'm not worried about theft as its hidden very well...

I do wonder if it's my car or my phone, as each time, it simply will not connect via bluetooth. Once I delete from phone and car and re-do the PAAK, it connects fine.

I have a '23 and PAAK worked well before with both Pixel 6 Pro and 8 Pro. Once I got the new OTA 24-PU0227-VI-RBS, it stopped working well. I reset PAAK on car and set it up on phone and it will work for a few days. Then nothing, not even a phone reboot gets it to work again. Only thing that fixes it is to delete PAAK in the car and set it up again. I work from home, so the car does sit in the garage for a few days beofe I drive it again.

I have a Pixel 7 Pro.
Multiple active Bluetooth devices will reduce PAAK performance. Recommend removing devices or limiting how many are connected at the same time. If the Bluetooth connection is busy, it won't be able to respond to PAAK in time.

Mine has gotten quite slow to connect lately. I generally have to stand at the door for 30 seconds or more before it works.

Are you getting deep sleep or 12V drain messages?
No. 12v battery is consistently > 70%. I don't think the car is in deep sleep since when I walk up with the key fob, the door unlocks and opens on one button press.
