Erhm, have you seen European petrol prices lately?
Nearly $8 per gallon in UK at the minute and that’s cheapest it’s been for some time.

Soon after I bought mine it went up to around $11.50 per gallon.

Economy electricity is c$0.15 per kWh, up to $1/kWh on DCFC.

Over 104,000 miles mine saved me c£7,000 ($8,900) in fuel.

Spoiler Alert: MME is rank 64 out of 124 currently available EVs.
I stopped scrolling after top 20. So thanks for that. Thought it was forgotten.
Shame that the MME ranked at the lower half of the list.
Perhaps it goes to show how many better EVs are available to consumers if we don't have such protectionist policies.
We can only look forlornly at the choices available across the pond.

I would imagine that 63rd place in the UK wouldn't equate to 63rd place in the USA. Even if all the same vehicles were available.

The Transit Connect is a huge hit overseas, yet sales dropped enough to be dropped completely here.

If the F150 was available in the UK, would it be in demand equal to in The States?

Cultural differences. Use case differences. And the elephant in the room> energy co$t differences.

I know. I go on a month long motorcycle trip there every summer. Most of the expense is getting gas. ?

That's exactly right. Different culture, smaller roads and towns. You couldn't park an F-150 in most cities in the UK I'd guess. Hard to see the Mach E being ranked that far below the Ioniq, however. I test drove the I5 and felt the interior seemed cheap and the driving experience was very similar. It does have some nice features like a HUD and ventilated front seats that the MME is missing, and It does have much faster DCFC but for me that is a rare need. Not to mention it is a bit silly looking IMO.

In fact, this is the ranking in the UK. As far as I know, the UK is no longer in the EU? And the British have a strange humor, especially when it comes to cars. Take a top of sales and you will see another reality.

Wondering why so many Americans need a truck? In UK trucks used for real work. Americans just need a big truck because.....

Need is not part of the equation. Majority of them never get used for anything that needs a truck. And even a large portion of work trucks would be better suited with vans.

But people really like big trucks. And due to some stupid loop holes in regulation we can’t even buy a small truck anymore.

I just always assume... the bigger the truck the more they are compensating for something. Most of the people I work with have big trucks. They definitely are compensating for a lot of things.

OK, whatever. ??

So everyone that drives a truck is insecure?

My F150 has a built-in 7.2KW 240V generator. And it's the quietest, most efficient generator that I know of. Literally can handle a full load without making a sound any louder than idle. 30 gallons of fuel too.

Not to mention the most remarkable office on wheels since it can sit in Texas Summer without the ICE running, but still sitting in the most comfortable 10 way adjustable massaging seat, HVAC at 68F, Wi-Fi Hotspot supporting remote access to global network administrators tools...... Oh, and Alexa streaming whatever background office Playlist I desire.

But I purchased it because I never felt like a man? ?????

The public square is such an entertaining place to hang out at.
