If there is a thread that covers this (not the adapters that Ford provided for a limited period, for free), please direct me there.

I plan to buy one to give me more flexibility to charge our Mach E. I have seen a very beefy looking one on A2Z for $185 and two on TeslaTap for $260 and $170 (for supercharger and the other type of Tesla destination chargers).

Have seen other cheaper ones on Amazon and I am assuming that with the adapters you get what you pay for (pay cheap, get cheap)...

Couldn't have said it better than @emichnov did.

A2Z's is top quality. They do extensive testing, and test each adapter they make after it's manufactured. And a 1 year warranty. And they charge less.

A2ZEV makes the Typhoon Pro adapter for Tesla SuperChargers. It sells for $185.00 ($175.75 with code FORDFORUM). They also sell the Stellar adapter, which is for Tesla Destination chargers (such as hotels, private homes). It sells for $108 ($102.60 with code FORDFORUM) . They are currently shipping quickly. I have both adapters and have used both many times. They work great. https://a2zevshop.com/products/nacs-ccs1?ref=Typhoon&variant=43186507579592

Get a A2Z adaptor. It is the Typhoon Pro. You have a peace of mind. I have two of them and the ones from Ford when they arrived. I keep them in the vehicle at all times and interchange them so they stay in use.

I have an order queued up. I guess that with the Canadian mail situation, it will slow delivery. Do you know if the extension cord is compatible with both the Typhoon and Stellar adapters? This is the one that I am thinking of getting (as I heard that sometimes it is difficult to pull up to the Tesla chargers, their cord doesn't quite reach the Mach E charge port, etc) =>

That cord will only work with Level 2 charging (Stellar adapter, AC charging). And it is rated for the max current the Mach E can handle at L2, so that is good. Just be aware that if you're at a charger faster than 48A do not use it on a car that has a faster L2 charge rate (unless the car can change a setting to limit the charge current -mach E can't change that setting).

I'm not aware of a DC extension cable. I've seen one listed for sale online, but never available. Maybe someone knows more.

For short Tesla cables, I've used ramps to get closer to the charger without hitting the curb. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KFNZJHP/ They allow you to plug in, but you may still be blocking a charger due to cable/port placement. These ramps are great, I've used them 3-4 times. They fit well in the frunk/froot and ALMOST fit perfect; I'm going to try to trim them to get them to sit flat in there.

The extension cord you have listed is for AC charging up to 48 amp only, so it is for the Stellar adapter only to use on Tesla destination chargers or Tesla residential chargers.

The DCFC NACS cord is still not yet available and is listed as $284.00:

https://a2zevshop.com/products/dc-nacs-extension-cord-6-9-ft-2-3-meters

That cord is for Tesla DCFC Superchargers and you need the Typhoon Pro for that situation.

Edit: Apparently @Zardoz beat me to it ?

I wouldn’t recommend the extension cord for fast charging either. Tesla emphatically doesn’t recommend the extension cords at their V3 and V4 charging stations.
Just drive carefully as close as you can up to the Tesla charging stations and the cord will reach to charge.
I am talking about to be very close to the station. I do it all the time with my Mach E and my Lightning. It scares the wife all the time. You can do it also.

I puchased the A2Z and was very frustrated about sometimes being unable to pull the Tessla handle out from the A2Z, even pressing down the release button fully. Partly I have small hands and nominal strength but the difficulty has had me in a panic a few times. I have since ordered the Lectron since it has a separate release button below and can be removed from the car first, using the car as the grip of the adapter instead of my own strength (or lack thereof.) This seems to happen about 1/3 of the time.

I'm so happy with my A2Z Typhoon Pro that I'm selling my gifted one from Ford.

I have encountered the SC handle getting stuck in the adapter as well, so I can sympathize. It only happened a few times, though, and after working out the stiffness it seems to be okay now.

To me, the extension cable strikes me as more of an emergency provision than anything else. The only situation where I'd actually use it would be if I was using an EXTREMELY busy Supercharger at peak time, a situation where I absolutely needed to park as a Tesla would. For my own purposes, at least, this very much represents an edge case.

I suspect the occasional Supercharger endpoint getting hungup in the Adapter is more about the damages that happen with public abuse of the Supercharger endpoint than it does the precision of the A2Z adapter casing.

Of course for the first few uses of the adapter, it's been noted that it's perhaps a bit too precise?

Ahhhh the risk of building to quality standards. :)

No, I think it's just the stiffness of a new device. The SCs I used on my recent trip had barely been used at all and seemed brand-new.

A2z and Lectron seem to make the most popular units. ??
