Even so, however, when we take an Escape we still don't have the roll around issue.
wait I thought the "roll around issue" was why you bought a Bronco or something instead? ?

Ford Mustang Mach-E I just received my Mach-E First Edition (in California)! 1611422133803

It's very early days, and I think the design and functionality are good, but it doesn't perform 100% accurate all the time. The connection isn't perfect, which it needs to be to be used as a key. For example, one time I tried to open my car with the key and the alarm went off and wouldn't connect. In other words, it still has some kinks to be worked out. No doubt there will be updates to fix this, but it clearly is V1.0 that will need some tinkering.
Thank you for the reply.
Was hoping it would be resolved by now. :(

Too small and Ummm ... I don't like the color and ... uh ... It'll slide. Yeah, that's it -- it will slide too.! :p
so, you're saying you won't let the small size and color... slide?

Aren't most triathletes too big to fit into the frunk? :)
Nah we're a skinny lot.

Used to drive me nuts after a pool or ocean swim to switch into running or riding gear and need to toss it into my truck. Now, no more.

And yeah, you could just wear triathlon gear, but why? Save it for race day and dress rehearsals. :)

If I have a cart full of groceries they are going in the back, not the frunk--a lot more room there and since we've been doing it for years that is where they will go.

Sure the novelty of the frunk means it will get used once in a while but I have a feeling after that it will get rarely used, or I'll just put some stuff that is nice to have with the car in it and leave that there.
I am going to use it like you and mostly I am concerned not storing stuff in the frunk that I will need in an emergency as if the 12 v battery goes can’t open it. Need to really figure out what goes in the frunk. Plus opening from front may not be easy for groceries depending on how tight the parking spot is. That’s just me.

Yes (and that's a good thing), but that's not the issue @dbsb3233 and I were yammering on about.

The keyfob would ordinarily have a button to remotely open the frunk. Now presuming Ford does an OTA for the frunk to allow remote opening as originally intended and is designed into the car, now there's no button on the keyfob so no use of the keyfob for that. So that means, opening the front door and manually opening the frunk or removing your phone, unlocking the phone with face id (etc), finding and opening Ford Pass, and remotely opening the frunk. If there was a button on the keyfob you'd just pull the keyfob out and push the button, all pau.

First world issues.
Agree ... would be nice to have a button for the frunk ... Hoping Ford will offer that down the road even if it means getting a new key fob

To be fair, you’ll have the same access that you have to the rest of the car if the 12v battery is dead.

well as someone pointed out somewhere there's nothing stopping Ford from reprogramming what the existing buttons do...

if I got a new fob, I'd want a smaller, sleeker one with no vestigial key blank.

That looks beautiful! Do you know if the dealer installed the front license plate bracket or was it done at the factory?
Two minor points, one major from this feedback.
I remain a little concerned about delay with the feedback on the big screen. As the primary way to do so many things, I will have to check that out.
Minor - I have never heard of a car that does not come with two key fobs?
- That license plate holder needs to not be put on....not sure how to stop them from doing that...

I'm not a fan of front plates either, but it's really looking like they install the frame at the factory. The simplest solution is a set of bumper plugs.

Your food will likely be cold by the time you get home, but ya, at least your car won't stink.
I was thinking the same thing, usually it rides with me to keep it warm in the winter, the summer might be a different thing but have to consider humidity and extreme heat. Anyway Ford designed it as a party trunk so fill it up with Wings or Shrimp.

Without an easy way to open it personally, I would just use the rear trunk.
