Well, I think we’ve done all we can for you. Good luck with it.
Hey, I personally lost track of even what we are talking about at this point.

Closing summary for me.

1 - RCL is less likely to be a good option - Higher %, higher residual, no incentive and no tax credit.
2 - Ford Options - $ Incentive, tax credit and title owner with lean (very close to financing with a final ballon payment or you have the return option) - Mileage overage will cost you, no penalty for paying early etc.
3 - Finance - traditional loan, low % right now but no incentives - you own title and get the tax credit.

A dealer can offer anything they want, discuss anything they want and we can choose anything we want. Until each and everyone of us is in front of the final sale the above is what I know. My dealer confirmed the same.

There are always loans and leases outside of Ford etc.

Personally Ford options for me looks good but that is because my area gets the $2500, if ones area is $1000 it might not be worth it over a regular loan.

Good Luck!!

Sorry if this was asked already....
How does Ford Pass mobile app work now that your car is paired to it? For you, was the app totally worthless and then suddenly began to function once your car arrived?

That is the one thing that has me holding my breath. Is that app going to have any value when my car arrives?
It's very early days, and I think the design and functionality are good, but it doesn't perform 100% accurate all the time. The connection isn't perfect, which it needs to be to be used as a key. For example, one time I tried to open my car with the key and the alarm went off and wouldn't connect. In other words, it still has some kinks to be worked out. No doubt there will be updates to fix this, but it clearly is V1.0 that will need some tinkering.

That’s the point I have done the same .. I have only been taking directly with my local Ford dealer about my options, twice now and again the final available options will only come from the dealer you are dealing with .. so I have to go by their information.. I will post up my experience but they already set expectations with me .. will see if that changes..
RCL for the MME is a real thing. The only reason I can think of why your dealer is not seeing it in the C&I summary grid is because the RCL program may not available in your area when they drill down to your state/county level? The program announcement listed a lot of Ford sales regions, maybe there are some pockets around the U.S. where they are not offering RCL on the MME (I'm not going to check every state/county combination).

There's like 4, or maybe it's 5, states where Ford Options is not available because of the contract laws there. But RCL is normally available in all 50 states so that would seem weird to not offer it everywhere, but I'm not in marketing.

I really think people just get off the topic and don't get it. Kinda like this.

At least you guys with the fancy models should be able to swing your foot at the liftgate and have it open...
Well there is that. I guess that's good. Grocery wise I was planning on the frunk. They won't roll around there like they will behind the rear seats. What that means is that almost guaranteed they'll go in the rear seat floor area. But you also need ease of opening. So ...

This is important @RonTCat, at the one year mark (for me) and the car not quite ready to be built, I need something to complain about. ;)

That is extremely concerning imo. Hopefully we get a few more reviews as with only one key fob having the paak system not work well could definitely add to my list of blockers on me getting this car.

Doesn't the phone as key mean that the car unlocks itself as you approach. No need to reach into your pocket for a FOB or phone. And the rear lift gate can be opened with your foot. Even if your hands are full of grocery bags, you should be able to open all four doors and the trunk without putting them down. The only time you'd really need to use your phone would be to access the features that aren't on the FOB (climate control, windows down, etc.). The manual double pull required to open the frunk makes me think that there will be no electrical release that can be remotely activated.

I'm curious to see how the phone lock/unlock functions works when it's unintentional. If I'm playing with the kids in the front yard, will my car lock/unlock every time I run by it? I suppose I could leave my phone inside the house - but I'm not sure that humans are capable of such a thing :)
Yes (and that's a good thing), but that's not the issue @dbsb3233 and I were yammering on about.

The keyfob would ordinarily have a button to remotely open the frunk. Now presuming Ford does an OTA for the frunk to allow remote opening as originally intended and is designed into the car, now there's no button on the keyfob so no use of the keyfob for that. So that means, opening the front door and manually opening the frunk or removing your phone, unlocking the phone with face id (etc), finding and opening Ford Pass, and remotely opening the frunk. If there was a button on the keyfob you'd just pull the keyfob out and push the button, all pau.

First world issues.

I am not sure if I am the second owner on this forum, but maybe the first in California. :)

I reserved my FE the second day it was available, waited patiently, and it arrived in Northern California yesterday. Apologies for the few pics, I was focused on testing the vehicle, inspecting it and making sure it met my expectations. In short, it DID!

The car drives amazingly well. Excellent feedback, comfortable, yet firm suspension, and overall great driving experience. The fit and finish is exceptional, and much better than I expected. This is not your father's Ford. The seats are extremely comfortable too.

I really like the carbonized grey color. Looks clean, matches the red accents really well. Grabber blue is nice in person too, but I prefer the grey (personal preference)

I bought the car at Marin County Ford in Novato, California. They also have a Grabber Blue FE for sale and test driving. The previous owner cancelled their order, so if you are in the market give them a ring!

More info to come once I can take more photos and test the vehicle more. I picked the car up late last night, so not an ideal time for pics.

You know the software update could make keyfob buttons dual use. Like the trunk button: short tap for rear, long tap for front (or single tap for rear, double tap for front). Maybe press two buttons simultaneously.

Don't necessarily need a new button.

If I have a cart full of groceries they are going in the back, not the frunk--a lot more room there and since we've been doing it for years that is where they will go.

Sure the novelty of the frunk means it will get used once in a while but I have a feeling after that it will get rarely used, or I'll just put some stuff that is nice to have with the car in it and leave that there.
I quite understand the point. On our Jeep, however, the groceries roll around in the area behind the back seats. I'd rather not have to rebag when we get home. For most that's not an issue but we have about 18 miles of country road, much of it rather curvy, between us and the nearest grocery store.

Not a real game changer honestly. I could see the frunk being the transition area for the triathletes in training on the forum as well.

Agreed. It's really the only negative I have on the car so far. The phone as a key isn't reliable yet. Thankfully, that should be fixable by software updates.

Well perhaps ours will too in the Mach-E given the fun to drive factor: "How fast can I get home??"

In the Bolt we frequently fill up the rear trunk and have to put some on the rear seats so rolling around isn't really a thing. Even so, however, when we take an Escape we still don't have the roll around issue.
