What to do w/ 2 versions of Ford/Tesla NACS adapter?

Recalled adapters all had the same part number 1434343-00-D

They were shipped in June. Not all adapters with that part number were affected, only some that were shipped during about a week's time in June.

I would keep the Lectron adapter personally, if you were trying to decide which one to sell/give away.

I didn’t expect to see that much difference in size. Size does matter and the smaller the better in this case. Glad I got the Tesla one, although I have not tried it yet. It packages neatly in one of the trunk cubbies. The Lectron probably won’t.

The "shorter" one was recalled for those that received it around June last year.

Your larger adapter should have come with a return label to ship the shorter unit back to Ford.

Not true. Only those from up to June 2024 are recalled.

Thanks. It is the Tesla-supplied adapter. I've no idea if the A2Z adapter would fit.

I received mine in April and it has the same part Number

The recalled adapters were from a very narrow time frame. They were produced in May and shipped in June of 2024. If you received yours outside of June, no worries. ??

If you still have multiple Mach-Es (or if you have multiple BEVs), keep one adapter in each car. If you only own one BEV at this time, pick one and sell it. This is still a good time to sell since supply is constrained. ??

I had a recalled one and once when I fast charged it got hot AF, probably for the best. I think if its too hot to handle during charging for any brand,.worth talking to manufacturer about it. Lectron being a little less stumpy may give it a small edge with some short Tesla adapters.

Depends where you sell and, and to whom.

I sold one of my two Ford adapters, PRE-RECALL, to a Rivian owner that was passing through and saw my post on FB. He asked for a cheaper price, but the market was the market, so he agreed to my price of $400....

I also sold my Ford Charge Station Pro for $1,000. They needed an unopened box for a photo shoot...

I notified my adapter buyer of the recall via FB, and he didn't respond to TWO messages. Oh well. I would have sent him the replacement adapter for shipping costs.

Now I have 3, two Ford replacements, and my A2Z Typhoon Pro.
