Hi,
Newbie here searching for a 2023 or 2024 MachE GT to call my first EV. Well, I am hoping someone can help me decipher why there is such a discrepancy in the base price.

In searching for cars, I noticed a $10k price difference on the base MSRP and wondering why? Did Ford drop the price mid year? I thought it might be that the 2023.5 had the added technology, but these two cars don't seem to bear that logic. I found the window sticker detail someone posted, but still can't figure it out.

Here is a 'dealer stock' car that had a ship date of 2/21/24 and has a base MSRP of $52,395 (Vin: 3FMTK4SE1PMA39626) and a 'special order' car that has a ship date of 1/31/23 with a base MSRP of $63,995 (Vin: 3FMTK4SEXPMA08259) but in comparing the standard equipment they are exactly the same. Am I being blind and/or stupid? Thanks in advance for any guidance!

there were MSRP price drops on 2023 models - I think more than one. This most likely is the reason for the discrepancy.

Thanks for providing your insight. That is what I thought, but needed a sanity check!

Ask for the Smart Vincent printout of the proposed sale/lease deal and the discount and rebates will be itemized. It will tell you what items are attached to that VIN.

Yeah it was a late response to Tesla dropping their prices by $25-50k per model. Then Ford ended up with 6-8 months of inventory on the lots and responded by finally lowering MSRP.

Tesla dropped prices 21% in Jan 2023 and Ford had to follow. In addition to lower pricing, 2024s are way faster and more fun to drive (no 5 sec limit and virtually no jail bars).

Oh, I wish! My budget can't afford a used 2024 GT. I am looking at a 2023 GT with 68 miles for under $40k and it is local (Ca.) so I can pick it up and not pay shipping. I was looking at the 2024 Premium but love the styling of the GT.

Apparently it happened after the 2023.5 Mach-E was built/shipped because the GTPE that I purchased exactly 1 year ago had the original Mulroney and the re-issued Mulroney with a $9000 difference in MSRP.

So a March 2024 purchase of a 2023.5 Mach-E was a vehicle that dropped in MSRP while being in inventory.

It was strange for this old man to see 2 different Window Stickers for the same car. ?
But it was in my favor, so I wasn't complaining.

It doesn't happen often when when it happens in your favor. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not losing my mind comparing window stickers after the fact!

Thank you all for taking the time and replying. Hopefully I will be joining this group soon!

But since we are car aficionados, I know it is not a vintage 60's stang, but close. I will never give up my ICE, Dino. All original, including the paint. Can't wait to park a GT next to it!
