Seems like there’s quite a few of us in the same boat. I have a 22 Premium Extended RWD that is stuck on 4.2.2. I was told the Gateway Module was stuck and when I had it at the dealer last week for 30K mile service they told me there was nothing that I could do. Very frustrating that I haven’t received any sort of updates in over 6 months. I guess I just need to use the Tesla app to initiate a charge once I get the adapter.

Just thought Id throw an update out there. Nothing has changed, been to the dealer a dozen times, they pushed some updates via FDRS but under the update screen I still get the "not completed" for 4.2.3. Dealer replaced the TCU recently and still nothing.. The dealer said that their ford engineering response was the car is as up to date as it should be which certainly doesn't seem correct seeing as many people are up to version 10.

FDRS updates supersede the OTA process. That screen you are seeing for 4.2.3 not completed will be there until another OTA comes in to replace it. Depending on what the dealer did, you may not get any OTA's for a while. If they did all the updates, you won't get any updates because you can't update what is already updated. Message me the VIN and I can provide better insight into where you stand in terms of the software in the different modules.

That screen has shown exactly that for over a year and I have received no updates during that time. Only recently did the ford dealer update all the modules through FDRS in an attempt to help the situation.

Got your message and the dealer is right.....they did get you as updated as they could. You show zero pending updates, but you are not up to date. Your car is on Sync 23031 which is now 3 versions behind the latest version.

The problem you are having is something the dealer cannot help you with. The update you need to be able to progress further along the OTA process needs to be released by Ford. Your IPMA already has the software for BC 1.4, but I highly doubt that the old software the GWM is on will support it.

We used to have a way to get over this hump, but Ford closed the loophole we were exploiting to do it, so there isn't anything I can do to help. Even if I could, you would need FDRS to do it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but until Ford releases the GWM update you need to get further along, you will not see any OTA's and no dealer can help.

Edit:

Screenshot below shows no pending updates:

So what would be the best way to present this info to ford customer care/engineering in order to explain there is, in fact, something wrong with my car that needs to be addressed?

Screenshot below shows you are on Sync version 23031.

The attached GSM sent to Ford dealers has a link to the other attached pdf indicating what the latest Sync software should be for many vehicle platforms including the Mach E which states the latest Sync version available for it is 24127.

The other screenshot I posted showing no pending updates for your VIN and this will be enough to demonstrate there is a problem. I am a huge pessimist when it comes to the people who answer the phones at Ford and their ability to confirm there is a problem or get this into the hands of someone who can actually do something about it, but in your case, there is not much else you can do but try. Good luck, and I mean that earnestly.

Do you know where I could find a change log for what might have been resolved with the updates? Called ford and they said its up to date and there is no further action needed. I am wondering if I just "make up" a fault that would be addressed in the updates and took it to the dealer if they could get the update pushed then.

Other than the release notes in the OTA version of updates, there is no changelog that I know of that you can refer to. Even then, many of the release notes for the OTA's are generic and provide little to no insight as to what the updates actually do.

Did you see my PM? Can I pay you to tell my local dealer/Ford what the hell they need to do to just get this fixed?

It sounds like I need the AIPM update that updates Sync, but its now showing as available in my car even though the software versions don't line up. I was looking at that TSB that was just released as well and I have the symptoms in regards to random static through the stereo and apple car play issues with the GPS, etc. However going through the TSB it says it doesn't apply if there are no pending updates.

Looking into it now, but if I am able to help, I do not require compensation.

Fixed.. it was corrupt software installed during a previous visit to the dealer. Once they figured that out and reflashed it, I was getting updates like crazy. Took entirely too much time, back and forth between the dealer and Ford but its finally sorted out.
