Road Trip Upcoming: Can I add Tesla Network to Android Auto (Google Maps in AA)? Or Native NAV?

Hi,

I cannot seem to get AA to recognize the Tesla Supercharger network. I am driving from Denver Metro area to Sante Fe NM in a few months and want to plan the drive. Part of this is mapping out the route with chargers.


ABRP requires a membership to display on my MachE. So I'm choosing Google Maps Through Android Auto. There is no option to select NACS so it ignores all Tesla Superchargers. I don't want to mess with things while I'm driving. So I was hoping someone has figured it out in either AA or the Native Navigation.

Quick guide (it stumped me at first but following written instructions in an early post helped me find it - it's buried deep!):

1. Click in the Search bar then choose Charging Stations under Categories.

2. Click on the Filter button in the Charging stations list.

3. In the Filters popup, click on the Compatible Plugs button.

4. In the Compatible Plugs popup, turn on the NACS option.

I don't have the same options. I have the latest version of android auto. My maps show battery %.
These are my only options. My car is on 10.1.1, I'm using a Google Pixel 6 Pro phone..

Odd. The only other thing I did a long time ago is in Google Maps when not connected to Android Auto, in Settings under 'Your vehicles', select Electric and configure your MME.

I have electric with nacs,ccs1, etc selected in Google maps. I'm good there.

I'm going to see if they deprecated my pixel 6 pro map software to force me to upgrade. I'll check my wife's newer pixel phone to verify it's not the car.

Google has done it...they found my Achilles Heel. I'm going to have to upgrade my phone.

100% they deprecated the Pixel 6 pro From the latest build of maps. My wife's newer pixel shows all options correctly.



Argh. I now have to decide on an extended warranty or a newer phone..... With the recent 7 months repair saga I'm probably going to go with the warranty.

It worked perfectly on my Pixel 6 from Day 1. Make sure everything is up-to-date on the phone, Play Services, Android, and Google Maps itself. It should work perfectly on the 6 Pro.

Are you still getting regular os updates? Android 15 installed on my phone recently. I'm also on pixel 6 and maps works fine. Also saw a suggestion to clear cache on the play store, maybe try that?

I have a Pixel 6 Pro and I have the latest version of Maps, and I have Tesla superchargers available for routing..

I'm fully up to date according to the play store, and on the latest OS. Can you tell me what Version # your maps says?
