Question for the experts. I'm definitely going to change out the suspension as many have done. Going w/the Rally springs (if the rears ever come down in price) and Eibach sway bars. I feel this setup gives me the best of all worlds.

So I've started calling shops around me to get installation quotes and when I asked about alignment, a couple mentioned there might be extra considerations to the wheel alignment of a Mach E and thus be more costly than a standard wheel alignment (I did mention the camber adjustment bolts for the front springs and that I would be providing them as well).

The question is, does this wheel alignment call for any extra considerations, or is it just a standard alignment like most vehicles?

Thanks all
Sounds like the shops that mention there may be extra considerations aligning the Mach-E either have never done one or they want extra money. NO, there is nothing different about aligning the Mach-E compared to most other cars especially Ford's that needs to be considered. I have had mine and many other members Mach-E's aligned at my local Les Schwab and the cost is the same as all their other alignments. $120

Thanks Mark, yeah, that's what I figured. In the countless threads and posts I've been reading regarding ride upgrades, I've yet to see anything mentioned regarding this. As always, appreciate the quick response.

Man, I just got the same email regarding the rear springs being superseded by a newer model from fordpartspros.com. In fact, fordpartsgiant.com lists both the front and rear springs as discontinued by the manufacturer. So, although other distributors (including fordpartspros.com) still list these springs as in-stock for some reason, I think it's safe to say Ford isn't producing these particular springs anymore.

I'm SO bummed about this, as it feels like I missed the boat by just a few weeks. This finally seemed like a viable OEM alternative to the Eibach lowering springs. But I don't see myself shelling out ~4x the cost for the newer springs.

Hopefully the price drops on these, but that's unlikely to happen for OEM. Or maybe it's time to resume pursuing this so-called improved suspension on the 2025s, but gonna have to wait to test drive one first.

Any idea how these newer springs are so much more expensive than their predecessor?

I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat. I ordered both front and rear springs from them (fordpartspros.com) and got the same email of disappointment. However, I asked them to modify my order and still send me the fronts. They shipped out today. If what you're saying is true about the front springs availability, I may have gotten one of the last sets available out there before they start replenishing with the new, more expensive sets. I do have an open order w/another ford parts distributor for the rear springs, but the order status just keeps showing "In Progress", so I doubt the order will be fulfilled. I'll just wait and see what happens. And then begin contemplating shelling out the ludicrous cost for the newer rear springs set ?

Haha, was that distributor ford.oempartsonline.com by any chance? I feel like we're indeed in the same boat, except I actually cancelled my entire order with fordpartspros, as I didn't want to be stuck with front springs and potentially not be able to mix them with the newer rear springs. So, you may have indeed snatched up one of the last sets of the old front springs.

A rep from the other distributor notified me of a "backorder" for the rear springs in my order, but I just replied asking whether that's really a backorder, or that their inventory hasn't been updated with the discontinuance yet.

www.oemfordpartsdirect.com

I thought about that too (the mixing of spring sets) but I doubt there's any structural/material difference between the original sets and the new sets other than the price. Of course, I could be wrong about that. But when I pulled the trigger on the Rally fronts, I committed myself to getting the Rally rears regardless the price. I'm not doing this right now, so I have the luxury to wait it out. So hopefully the "B"s come down to something close to what the "A"s were. But we shall see! I also see this setup as the most ideal and really want to do it. Just gonna take longer to implement than anticipated. So good luck to you!

Could there be any issues with mixing these older front springs with the newer rear springs?
I doubt it. The A rear springs are probably the same as the B's but could be a different supplier. Even if there was a difference I doubt it would be very much or enough to notice. Bottom line, the people that want these are looking for a slight lift with a softer spring and both A and B springs will give that.

Update: Rally rear springs on the way!

So I put in an order for these springs (RK9Z-5560-A) with www.oemfordpartsdirect.com on 4/17. Having no luck anywhere else, including where I originally ordered them from, www.fordpartspros.com, I didn't think this was going to happen. Until today (4/22), the order status only showed "In Progress". I kept waiting to get the cancellation email, but it never came. I decided not to reach out to them in any way and just let the process run its course. Well today, I got the order shipment email so I should be getting them soon.

If you're still trying to get these rear springs, I would put in an order with them now and then see what happens. Because I didn't communicate with them other than placing the order, I have no idea if they had them on hand already or if they have a secret source that still has inventory. Either way, you have nothing to lose so it's worth a shot! Good luck!

I just tried ordering both the front and rear springs from oemfordpartsdirect, and my entire order was promptly cancelled due to a backorder.

I also had no luck with other suppliers I found on Google, as they all either replied with a backorder, or just cancelled my order outright.

@Ford_orr and others, I think y'all just snatched up the nation's remaining stock of these springs, lol.

Just gotta wait for the -B variant of these springs to hopefully drop in price. 4x the cost is still wild to me.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. Yeah, I think I just lucked out. Funny, I ordered them from that website at 12:06am 4/17 after spending a couple of hours looking for them lol. All the websites I was looking at let you put them in the cart and order them, but I knew from reading the stories here, that didn't necessarily mean they could get them. So I wanted to at least try one more time and just picked these guys at random. I need to go get lotto tix ?

Rears just showed up and they are B's but A's were ordered.

After thinking about it, that's exactly what I'm suspecting is going to show up also. But that's great you got them! Can't wait for your evaluation/review!

I'm NOT installing Rally springs in my GT. I generally lower my cars. These are for John who sent them here since I'll be helping with the install. This is going to be an interesting review. Right now he has the rear Koni shocks I modded to fit the Mach-E to decrease the bounce. We are going to put the OEM shocks back in after installing the Rally springs to compare the difference between the OEM springs with Koni shocks and OEM shocks with Rally springs.
