Up recently, the specs for UL2252 have not been finalized. This is the new specification for J3400 adapters (aka Tesla Superchargers).

Amphenol just got their adapter certified using the finalized UL2252 specifications and I got to try out a pre-production unit. It should go on sale within a couple of months.

Sounds like the advice is to wait for this one to be released vs. purchasing one of the higher rated ones that do not have the UL cert.

Sounds like the advice is to wait for this one to be released vs. purchasing one of the higher rated ones that do not have the UL cert.
My advice would be stick to a UL certified adapter or one from the manufacturer of your car. I really like the ones from A2Z and Lectron, and I think they are close to getting the UL certification too.

Since this one from Amphenol isn't quite available yet, there is still the one from Ford. You can order it here and it ships in about a week:
