Certainly can’t blame Ford for adjusting to market conditions, but it also certainly sucks.

The effects of the tariffs have turned around the value of my car from the huge drop in value. Nothing significant, but at least on KBB and Carvana I've received notices my car value increased about $2500.

Insurance rates are next for an uptick due to all parts being more expensive. I’m sure these types of regressive taxes will not impact most Americans ?
"Tick"? Nope, they're going to JUMP.

The amusing part is that, unlike every other sales tax, this new federal sales tax will be “opaque”. We will never really know how much we are paying in federal sales tax to the “department of fantasy international revenue” (or whatever it’s called) and how much excess we will be paying for opportunistic price gouging.

I’m shocked that Marriott hasn’t figured out a way to get in on the tariffs scam yet. ???

better get these new ones before the Trump Tariffs set in next month
Based on all the reactions I was expecting a huge number……. But the article said the car MSRP is increasing $2,000?

Meh… ?‍♂

This car has gone up and down so much in the last few years and is still SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than what I paid in 2021. Especially if you factor in inflation.

My GTPE was $61,500 (after the $7500 tax credit). That would be over $75k today if it went up with inflation.

Yet people are buying the equivalent car for $56k now.

So if it goes to $58k? Meh….

Sure, the tariffs are bad and any price increase is bad news. But I don’t think a $2k increase is outrageous.

I agree. It is not outrageous. It is just stupid.

I wonder how long this stupidity will last? My guess is a little over 3 years but that is just a wild guess.

The full amount of the tariffs are not being passed along, yet. According to the article. So $2k now. Another $2-3k in 6 months, it will add up.

But as said, the MME price has went up and down a lot since 2021.

Well that and used car prices will go up as well. That "non outrageous" price will continue as long as there are taxes (aka tariffs) in place along with supply chain shortages because of said tariffs.

We don't have to look very far back to see what can/will happen when shortages occur.

But hey, it is great to see the people with money to spare to just shrug it off as "what's another 2 thousand dollars?"

These will be fun times I am sure.

very true, it also still makes me wonder, I picked my 2023 GT for 45K (No EV Credit). If they have that much play to come down that much......they honestly don't have to raise the price by 2k. At the end of the day all used mach e go up in value, which is a bonus for some that are looking at cars where manufactures are not adding the tariff cost or a model that has more US content......Just realize that FORD and GM are notorious for inflating their MSRPs anyway. You think they are losing money on this, likely not

To be fair, margins on Mach Es are nonexistent. They still lose money on all of them sold.

If it weren’t for profits on their ICE vehicle sales, the electric cars wouldn’t exist.
