Are people really seeing 280 miles of max range with their Mach-E GT 2024?

I have a 2024 Mach EGT has 6000 miles on it. I bought it with 3800 miles in January. It was a demonstrator model. The maximum range is supposed to be 280 miles. I understand that when it’s really cold or really, really warm that will not be your max range but today it was 75° so I thought it would be interesting to charge it to 100% and see what the range would be. The range ended up being 252 miles of range. So are people out there seeing 280 miles of range on their 2024 Mach e GT? Thanks!

2024 Mach e Gt, no PE, get over 300 miles/charge around town. Haven't taken a road trip yet, so don't know what highway miles would be.

The issue here is a lack of understanding of what you're looking at.

The GOM (Guess-O-Meter) is a PREDICTION of your range BASED ON your past driving. If you reset your driving history, it will jump to the EPA number. Still not meaningful.

If you start driving with a destination in your navigation, you will see the range PREDICT based on that destination. However, if you then drive say 80 in a 70mph zone, you will see it drop more than expected.

If you want your true RANGE based on your NORMAL DRIVING, check This Trip after you complete a drive but before you turn it off. That miles per kWh, x your battery size (91kWh) is your true range. Or, reset Trip 1 or Trip 2 and then drive for a week or so and see.

What speed were you driving when you got (only) 252 miles of range? Did you have a headwind? Were you going uphill? Were you driving conservatively? Were your tires aired up correctly?

I’d say try it again and make your conditions ideal, and you’ll probably go more than 280.

300 miles of range to me would be wonderful! I am disappointed with 250. Not sure if there’s something wrong with the battery?? I’ve been pretty cautious with my driving. I’m keeping it under 80 and not really taking advantage of all of the horsepower available.

Flat highway driving around 75MPH.

That 280 number is EPA, so average. If you only drive around town you see over 300, if all highway it's under 250, if you drive very fast or winter you are at 200.

It's the reverse of ice, their mileage is always better on highway, makes it confusing

Makes sense to me. I drive mainly highway so that’s probably killing my range.

Are you aware that it takes about twice as much energy to cruise your MME @75mph as it does to drive 55?

I can’t drive 55! I think that’s a Sammy Hagar song lyric?
Well, then the corollary to Sammy's song is that "You can't drive two-seventy-five!" :)
