Got a seat belt extender and have solved 2 problems!

1. Seat belt kept cutting into my belly (beer) and was uncomfortable for long drives. 3" extender fixed it !
2. Seat belt reminder chime keeps going off when I drive it from garage to street and need to jump out before taking off.

Before the virtue signaling brigade jumps on this guy, you can already disable the chime with this procedure.

Except the procedure as shown in the video does not work.

The 4 bongs is more annoying (to me) as I always start the car first, then buckle up. I rarely (but sometimes) move the car without my seatbelt on.

I do the same thing and agree. I wish there was an easy way to disable those startup chimes cause I always start the car then put my seatbelt on.

Hate the bongs
But, they can be disabled using forscan, should you wish to explore that route.
Or, buckle in before stepping on the brake pedal.

any link to a video on how to do this?
I assume that you have an obd adapter and experienced with forscan.
If yes, I will continue to look to the many threads that explain mods done by many. Unfortunately, this specific mod doesn't have its own thread.

I'll keep fishing around.

I do have a bluetooth scanner and a laptop that I downloaded forscan on. I don't have experience with the program, but I'm aware of the possible repercussions of messing with this.

When it comes to this level of adjusting settings, I really prefer to watch a video to make sure I'm not changing any settings that shouldn't be adjusted. Seems to me to be on the same level as messing with Windows registry keys.

Given that it can be disabled without FORScan, why use FORScan?

Agreed.
But, there really aren't videos of the specific mods. Each person that did it, lists the steps.

As a precaution, you should take a picture of the setting before you change it. That way you can "wipe" what you did by returning to the original value. And, I've been told that forscan has a restore option "undo" kind of thing.

There are videos on how to use forscan, and there's a very detailed guide in the forums on what to do following very simple steps.

My only issue with Forscan is I forget how to use between uses. In fact, I don't think I've used it yet on my '24. But I can fire it up at some point.
I finally added back the trunk switch after obtaining the parts many months ago.

(and if anyone needs the special OBD adapter for Audis, ping me)

my understanding from the video is that the process shown only disables the chimes while driving. NOT the startup dings when your seatbelt isn't buckled when you press the start button.

Perhaps I'm mistaken?

The dongs are so useful with my forgetful or rebellious passengers.
Saves me saying anything to them.
They’re staying.
