That's a cabin filter ($25 ish and you can do it yourself in 5 minutes), plus a tire rotation (free-$20 most places). Sound fair to you?

I should add that my dealer quoted an insane $120 for the cabin filter also. You can always turn that down and just get the rotation if that is a reasonable price.

It’s also having somebody who knows what they’re doing inspect the car, check things over with a trained eye and do service & software updates is worth it to me, and I’m a vehicle examiner.

UK must be totally different. My service is literally just rotation, glancing at tire tread, and replacing a filter. They never check for updates or really do anything deeper than give it a quick glance.

I take my 1-yr old car with 5k miles, go to the dealer, and say: hey need one year service but without tire rotation. The dude says: but tire rotation IS the one year service! So I naively ask: no, there’s a whole bunch of other checks that you do, right? The dude says: not much else, we only do a tire rotation on these cars. I walk away and have not had any service since even with a second Mach E.

I’ll break my own filter tabs, thank you very much.

I have a TPM that malfunctions some. They can do a tire rotation oil lube and filter and I’ll do the cabin filter (huge rip off)

Oil, lube, and filter? Uhhhh...if someone is telling you they are doing that, then they are definitely ripping you off.
