Is there a list of things that have been removed from first launch? I have a ‘21 and I’m glad i got most of the things.

Removed so far:
- Park Assist
- Hands Free Trunk open/close
- Sprayer for front camera
- Head Rest adjust

Im sure there are a few more.

I have a 21, and the only thing I haven't tried is the park assist. I have been afraid to try it, plus I'm a pretty good parallel parker. The video's I have seen take way longer than I would take to get in a spot.

And if they are going to make it fixed they need to make it fixed in the back position.
Yet another reason to not buy a newer version of the mach-e.
yeah, not sure how you guys live with out "Kick to Open" #2021
Just fine most of the time. Mine doesn’t like the way I kick it with my left leg (Artificial knee). Honestly though, it is a nice feature. :)

Frunk that holds more than a travel sized facial tissue pack.

Separate window wiper/turn signal stalk.

HVBJB that fry on a routine basis. ;)

Windshields that aren’t glued in

Same, i tried it once but wasn’t quite sure how to do it. I just park myself. Agree videos seemed to take a long time and a computer in control getting that close to cars I didn’t like.

Yeah so I'm trying to upload pictures but for some reason the forum won't upload them correctly.
Anyway, trust me when I say they are far forward and totally lame.
Any fixes? Can I replace them with something else? Pretty lame because I paid extra for the sport appearance package with the red stitching.

I did try taking out the headrest, turning it backwards, and putting it back in. That's a little bit toooo far back, but I guess it works on long road trips when you need to stretch your neck.
I turned mine backwards the first day. Thank goodness it's easy in the Mach-E. My neck was so jacked up in my 2017 Camaro for a couple months before I found a picture online from someone who recovered his seats. It showed the pin that you have to blindly reach in and pull out to get the headrest loose.
I believe that obnoxious headrest position is something that is mandated by the Highway Safety Commission.

It's funny, options were stupid and annoying until they were no longer an option, then they become the most coveted things ever. We always want what we don't have apparently! Lol

I’m with an earlier poster that maybe lean the seat back 1 notch then slide it forward one and see if it helps your neck. Might be a different strain on the neck but it’s more flexible.

I started a list a while back, but got bored with all the typing of things decontented (and, in fairness, new features added), and stopped a long time ago.

Frunk space and the window glass is cheaper.

And most importantly, they removed the performance limiter on the GTs!

They did add some stuff though, like cooled seats on premiums. So it’s not all bad.

Last year in one of my threads I listed 25 changes I noticed between my ‘21 Premium and ‘21 GTPE to my ‘24 GTP. There are more changes than this I’m sure but it’s just the ones I noticed or knew about. Here’s my list from that thread:

1. Rear cargo hold down rings are plastic instead of metal
2. Driver/passenger kick plates no longer have an aluminum "Mustang/GT" plaque
3. Dual USB-C ports at the console rear instead of one USB-C and USB-A
4. Front Driver/Passenger doors no longer have a lock actuator (presenter)
5. Removed kick to open liftgate feature
6. Eliminated the inside illuminated open/close button on the liftgate panel
7. Rear speaker grills no longer have a B&O emblem
8. Removed the windshield wiper defrosters
9. Removed hood bump stops
10. Removed parking assist feature
11. Ceiling grab handles no longer damped, when released, they snap up quickly
12. Front camera through windshield has a white casing instead of black
13. High beams don't seem to be as bright as the ones in the '21 (low beams the same)
14. Front headrests on premium no longer tilt forward/backward
15. No more sound insulation padding behind door panels
16. Removed front grille camera washer
17. Cargo cover has slightly thicker support posts, more difficult to attach and remove
18. Shark fin antenna on roof no longer on a separate metal area by itself
19. Wireless charger is a separate metal plate within the plastic console bottom
20. Front proximity sensor beep has a higher pitch tone than rear proximity sensor beep
21. Now comes with a full printed owners manual
22. Start/Stop button no longer has a flashing green LED
23. Front side windows are no longer acoustic (laminated) after July '24
24. Frunk tub is lighter, has half the screws securing it and they‘re exposed
25. There are three things about the audio system that I've noticed
(a) The overall volume is at least 2db louder for any given volume control setting
(b) Dash tweeters sound more harsh in their lower frequency range
(c) The OEM 6x9 woofer bass frequencies sound deeper but it has an mis match of time alignment. It hits after the door speakers so a single kick drum almost sounds like two kick drums hit.
After removing the rear quarter panel to access wires I needed to install my aftermarket sub, I noticed the B&O amp is a different shape and it is also a larger than the previous one.

If you've never had it, you don't know what you're missing! I'm already used to using my fob on my previous cars and that has carried over with the Mach-E. Thought I'd get used to living without the fob but PaaK is annoyingly unreliable for me.
I find the PAAK shockingly good for me!?!?

Not sure if the headrest is the same as my 2023 premium version, but for mine, I had to pull the headrest towards the front windshield to get it to reset its position.

This video helps demonstrate what I mean.
My 24 Premium xAWD does not have this. Got so excited reading this too. No dice.

Such a simple but functional feature for owners to further personalize their driving experience and comfort. It's small touches like this that make a vehicle stand out and feel special. It's a real shame that the bean counters at Ford managed to get their paws on this and other decontended features that made the MME feel like a more premium vehicle.

A quick search reveals that non adjustable (front to back) headrests are uncomfortable for 16% of the population as they’re always up against the headrest. The reason for this is that the requirement for headrests uses an “average person” model and these 16% don’t fit that part of the model.

Presuming my pre first cup of coffee search is anywhere close to accurate, 16% seems like a high percentage to be making uncomfortable. Beyond that @McSquashy is correct, it cheapens the feel of the car.

I do find it an issue for me to point I’d like to pick up an after market if available but I can say at least it doesn’t appear to have as bad of a forward angle as others I’ve seen images of on this forum.
