Ford didn't say it wasn't because of the missing kilos of coke hidden in the frunk so I am assuming that's what this is all about. The cartel are getting pretty smart.

Nice comparison.
I too thought the stalk method to select Drive was better. The dial has never felt right.
From a passenger point of view....I very much dislike not having physical controls for radio or climate controls so that is a big negative for me with the Tesla design.
I do really like that traffic view on Tesla's screen. It shows when other vehicles are coming up along side etc. That is really cool. To me it is a good substitute for the 360 view....at least in traffic situations. Parking is different.....having 360 view is handy to keep from parking too close to the curb or avoiding a puddle when you step out.
Great point on the passenger point of view...never thought of that. At least the volume control and climate functions are right in front of the passenger, so they can get to it fairly easily I guess. The view of the cars coming up on the side is really helpful before switching lanes for sure. Also, I just noticed today, that on the navigation map, there is a toggle to show traffic congestion. I didn't see that yesterday. It's similar to the google traffic function. It's pretty cool to see how long you're going to be sitting in a traffic jam. I wonder why Tesla can't have 360 degree view? There are tons of cameras for crying out loud!

Once we get an status update where it arrives at KC with destination to another ramp. Will we can any other updates prior to arriving at the dealership? Or is it a call out of the blue where they say "It's Here!!!" ?
It really depends on how closely your dealer is tracking the movement of your car (either on their own or because you ping them daily).

I was just talking with a new co-worker who told me all about her yellow Mustang, Beatrice. Poor Beatrice caught fire and burned up while she was in a drugstore. Yep. Happens to ICE cars all the time.

Did she hold a funeral??? Good news is that is covered by insurance.

It is absolutely a different battery, and I believe it was a different vendor. It was a while ago so I can't be positive, but nonetheless it was a problem discovered last June and Ford held back on releasing Kugas that didn't have the issue while they did extensive testing to be certain.
So to quote my wife (who is the ultimate recipient of this car) "Tell me why it is delayed and will I and my Grand Kids be safe in this vehicle?" She is also wondering why we were in such a big hurry to put our deposit down (#4367) when apparently it did not matter a whit about when we would see the car. Should probably mention she is a big SpaceX fan.

She is probab;y not aware of us that owned early Mustangs and got to install metal plates in the trunk behind the rear seat because of the gas tank location. Yes, ICEs do catch fire and Ford has a history of poor design.

@DaveRuns

Why Piano Black console? Did you get an older model? 2021s have a matte black console.

I loved the Y and actually had bought one but my car arrived with issues and I didn't want to deal with the Service Center. Glad you are happy with your vehicle!

As of now, they're being delivered with the piano black consoles. I have a 2021 model (metal scroll wheels, double-pane glass, heated steering wheel, etc). I know the China based Ys have the matte consoles. I'm told that when Tesla exhausts their inventory of the piano black, they'll start using the matte consoles here too. So, for now, I just did a wrap and covered it.

And if they run out of other parts, they'll just go to Home Depot.
Hey, I'm planning on adding a heat pump to the MachE. All parts sourced from the crown moulding section.

Well, it isn't from a battery fire; if it was they would have done the same thing with the Kuga and halted all sales until they got all new batteries.

For her comfort and yours, you probably need to just get her a Tesla.

She is actually looking at VW, but I have warned her that they use the same suplier as Ford for batteries.

Home Depot sells heat pumps, too! ?
