Good evening everyone…. My Rapid Red Mach e gt was built on 8/9 and shipped on8/10 …. Had a delivery date of 9/5-9/11 Arrived at the dealer today … None of the trackers show this …. What a Suprise!!!! Today just happens to be my Birthday ? Will take delivery on Monday 8/30 …. Can’t trust those trackers!!!My standard GT was in production 7/17, then finally built on 8/18, shipped on 8/20 w/ETA 10/2-8 (originally 10/31). I doubt it will take that long to reach so. Cal! Can't wait!
All you need is Huey Lewis, Marty McFly and Doc Brown.Well now I have a ETA End Date of 1 Jan 1990. Back in time we goooooo!
Jealous -- same build week as you, my GTPE is still sitting in Mexico awaiting chips.I check the palsapp this morning and my GTPE updated with a origin at Kansas, a destination of my city and the dealership name. I'm guessing it will be trucked from KC to Louisville KY where I'm located.
Nov 19 reservation
April 27th ordered
July 16th in production
August 09th built
August 10th shipped
Delivery ETA 9/7/21 - 9/13/21
Also jealous. My reserved then ordered GT-PE was originally scheduled for 9/27 build week then silently pushed back to 10/4. Not that Ford ever sent me any communication about the original build week. I placed my order on the morning of 4/27 and the dealer accepted it less than 10 minutes later.I check the palsapp this morning and my GTPE updated with a origin at Kansas, a destination of my city and the dealership name. Heh, I hope it’s not that long a lead time. My reservation got silently pushed back to a 10/4 build week. Given the same lead times My GT-PE won‘t get delivered until mid to late January.I guess the 6 weeks delay letter really did mean 6 weeks extra sitting and waiting. Seems that whatever didn't get out a week or two ago is pretty much in the same boat. So our 8/9 build plus 6 weeks (best case per Ford) is chip availabe after 9/20, and then what, 4 - 5 ship weeks? So that means we probably won't see ours till mid October or later?
What if @agoldman's estimation is optimistic? ?I guess the 6 weeks delay letter really did mean 6 weeks extra sitting and waiting. One word: Ouch. What if @agoldman's estimation is optimistic? ?
I’d rather have the car and have the trap speed issue fixed OTA.At this point the delay almost feels like a blessing in disguise. I really hope that the performance numbers can get sorted out before taking delivery.
unless you plan to spend time at the track, I doubt there will be any problem. then again, there are better track cars, so don't buy one for that purpose. For regular acceleration, even the Premium is quite capable. At this point the delay almost feels like a blessing in disguise.
