Ford's seemed to already have released them for 2025s so I didn't mention them. ??
Let me know if you want a current list of your updates.

The service bulletin from Ford that got posted online said dealers weren’t supposed to do it on older cars yet, but I guess some dealers can’t read.

I guess they should have had a block on the backend so the update would only pop up with 2025 VINs ??‍♂

Fortunately the recall necessitates software validation. If they contact you early and attempt to install the software, the validation will fail. Regardless, you'll encounter various excuses but will ultimately need to bring the car in again once the software is ready. So if you own a 2021-2024, I advise against scheduling or bringing it in at this time, as you may end up wasting your time.

Yeah... I took a test drive of a Jeep Wagoneer S today and... damn... I think I liked it better than the Mach E. I got some real thinking I need to do as to whether I'm going with the Jeep and to call my Ford dealer to cancel my Mach E deposit.
All manufacturers have issues, but you want an auto built by a company owned by FIAT? Our 2013 was nothing but trouble with so many expensive known issues like a main seal and a crack oil cooler. Then our 18 that burned quarts of oil every month after 13k. Lease was up and never reported the oil burning cause it was a lease lol. Those 18 model year compass were garbage. Along with many other model years with that engine.

This showed up on my owner dashboard. Guess getting stuck outside your car isn't urgent, has to wait for Q3

Issue Date
2025-06-13
Campaign
25S65/AWAITING
Description
On your vehicle, in the event of unexpected 12V battery discharge, the front door electronic latches retain their last lockunlock status. If the driver or front passenger exit the front doors using the mechanical inside release handles, the doors may remain locked when they are closed. This may result in an unexpected lock-out condition for the driver and front passenger without the ability to immediately re-enter the vehicle.
Safety Risk
An occupant who remains inside a locked vehicle and unable to use an inside door release handle may be unable to be rapidly retrieved by a passenger who has exited the vehicle. This could result in a serious injury, especially in hot weather.
Remedy
Ford Motor Company is working to provide software for this repair. However, software is currently not available. When the software remedy becomes available, Ford Motor Company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge. The remedy is anticipated to be available in Q3 of 2025.
Ford sent out one of their Mobile Service Trucks yesterday, and the Technician took care of all the updates and recall right in my driveway: good Service and a nice tech.

Ford just sent this out:

In the event of an unexpected 12V battery failure when the vehicle is turned off, the electronic door latches remain in their last lock/unlock status. If the electronic door latches were locked at the time of 12V battery failure and a driver or front seat passenger exit using the door release handles, the doors will remain locked when they are re-closed. This may result in an unexpected lock-out-condition for the driver or a front seat passenger without the ability to immediately re-enter the vehicle.

Directions on how to operate the interior door handle to exit your vehicle with a failed 12V:

  • Front Doors: Pull the door release handle until it stops (note: this means pulling the door release handle further than is usually required to open the door).
  • Rear Doors: Pull the door release handle twice. If a rear door is used to exit the vehicle, that door will unlock, and the supercapacitor will allow for limited re-entry times using the exterior button.
Directions on how to jump-start a Mustang Mach-E with a failed 12V are here: https://go.ford/MME12V

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work with the teams to provide you and the community with the information needed to navigate this process.

Kind of sad that the front doors won't unlock when the mechanical release is engaged. Nice that the rear door will unlock itself when the double-pull method is used, but I suspect that most people will want access to a front door because that's where the driver sits and the frunk release lever is. ??
