How To: Enable Power Meter on Non-GT Mach E

I'm curious how people are able to tell the number of KWH they are generating via regenerative braking on a trip. I feel like I've seen people share that on the forum in a few places, but I don't see it anywhere in m y 2025. Is that data from some kind of mod? Am I imagining things?

This used to be reported in the FordPass app, but it was terribly buggy and that functionality was removed some time ago.

Sadly, this mod may be dead, I did pcm updates and now my power meter shows permanent jail bars, only shows regen, the car drives fine...

As has been stated several times in this thread pre 2024 cars likely need the updated IPC software for this mod to work properly again. Ford said by end of Q2 but who knows lol.

It’s likely not a ipc issue, it’s more likely the pcm is no longer sending the data.

If that was the case, would green meter be inop too? Braking still shows the current backflow

I’ll put it this way, an ipc update didn’t break it, so it’s unlikely that an ipc update will fix it.

It's my speculation, but looks like IPC is expecting the "limit information", and is now default to 100% instead of 0%. I believe that GT models will send that periodically, while others will not. It would explain current behavior.
Not sure how to fix it yet.

This mod will no longer work with new powertrain software. There is no point in doing it anymore.

Don't expect a future software update to "fix" it either.

shows instant battery draw or regen in kw (positive for draw, negative for regen)

I’m parked in the screenshot meaning only accessories/ac are drawing power.

I’ve seen that number hit around -80kw at highway speed regen.

back on topic, my late build 2024 still works.

For the first time the other day I had zero grey bars. Battery was at 100% and 31c.

anything less that 30c there’s at least 1 grey bar. These LFP’s like it warm.
