There is a cone of silence i.e., no updates to system between plant and KC transit. My dealer said once in the USA and next legs more details available but as of now it only shows Jan 25 ramp location at plant. So we have to trust is slowly chugging north
Yes - It seems that Kansas City Southern De Mexico doesn't provide detailed tracing to Ford for the journey up to the States. Norfolk Southern at least does, if your Mach-E makes it on one of their trains.

I seem to recall my car took 10 days on that Cautitlan to Kansas City leg of the trip. It's a slow train.

So - I just tried calling Norfolk Southern via 800-635-5768, and I'm happy to report it works!

Pressed 2 for Intermodal. Then 2 for tracing.

Asked for "equipment ID", I entered my Mach-E's railcar info. It asks for the letters first, so I just used T9 on the keypad to enter, then # (only press the number once, so if X, press 9 once). Then it asks for numerical portion of railcair number, so just enter and press #. It then gave me the most recent update on the railcar, which matches my most recent Vehicle Visibility report!!

All automated, no need to talk to a human.

This is dangerous for me, will feel the urge to call every hour!
I can't get it to work for me, keeps saying enter alpha.

Anyone want to give it a try for me please?

I tried with no luck - you sure that's the exact railcar number for Norfolk Southern?

So I have a relative of a friend that works for the railroad . . . in their traffic department. I asked them a few days ago if they could see if they could track my car by railcar. The railcar supposedly left the plant on 1/26 - 8 days ago. He found it currently in De Queen Arkansas (directly South of KC) as of 5:45 am today. My delivery date on the Ford site is by 3/9 . . . I can't believe it takes 5 more weeks from Arkansas to Ohio? This is like the postal service lately where I am still getting December mail in February!

Everyone's using the covid excuse for any delays lately. Must be the same thing here. :(

We refinanced our house in December and the mortgage company owes us escrow money. Haven't seen it six weeks later. Called them and they said it's because of covid, even though they're legally obligated to return our money in 20 days after payoff. I didn't know computers could catch this kind of virus. ?

I have a life insurance policy with an annual premium. It was due in December. 3 weeks after I sent the check it still had not been cashed. I ended up against the 30 day grace period for cancellation. I paid over the phone and they assured me they would NOT cash the check. One week later - BOOM they cash the check. I call, and they tell me they will mail me a refund (of course they won't just credit the checking account I gave them for the over the phone payment they HAVE to mail it). I was NOT happy. That was over a week ago, and I am still awaiting my refund.

Ah - that's not a railcar number, it'll show something like this when it's on a railcar:
In Transit Shipped Rail - Railcar # TTGX***** (Norfolk Southern Corp ) Ramp 6P, Kansas City Mc, MO Jan-28-2021, 11:00 CT Feb-04-2021 Feb-10-2021

When I did the project to add a new meter for EV charging, etc. I had to work with DTE (my utility) get the project started. They required that I send in a check for "new service". I asked if, since I'm already a customer, can't I just have this put on my bill and pay it the usual way. They said that usually when they do this sort of thing, the house is just being built so there is no "existing bill" and while you'd an have just about anything added to the bill ... not the "new service" thing ... that REQUIRES a check to be mailed in.

ANYWAY... they wanted us to mail a check. What a headache. Turns out all office employees are working from home. So when you send a check, it goes to the mail-room, but there is nobody to deliver that check to at the utility company because they are all at home. BUT... they wouldn't approve the project until they had their check.

It was a big ordeal. We offered to do an EFT and apparently there is a department that handles those but that was also going to a new major headache (our project coordinator at DTE was trying to do us a favor). In the end she finally just flagged the order as ok to go because she realized that with COVID, everything we were trying to do to pay the up-front money was just not going to work.
