We had long discussions of this when the first build schedules came out. It has probably changed since the start but seemed to involve optimizing the line speed by varying car configurations, destination so they could fill autoracks or trains to given destinations, and a bias to early orders and First Editions, with the FE builds finishing with Mach Drops scheduled for the week of January 4. I haven't looked into it since the early batch of schedules. However, we are sure it is not only FIFO.There seems to be no criteria that I have been able to see as to what causes Ford to issue a build date for an order. It sure isn't FIFO. Has anyone else figured out what triggers Ford to select an order for build, kinda looks like a lottery draw.
