Car washing systems recycle the water, while home washing puts it down the street drain. In some states, such as Texas, home washing cars is illegal, mostly during drought seasons.
I can't use that tax credit because I don't pay Federal taxes, so why doesn't the Congress change that to a rebate on purchases, and only for U.S. brands, since no foreign brands give any incentives for U.S. brand sold overseas. I did get a $2,000 rebate after buying my Fusion Hybrid here.
I did a test drive before buying my Fusion Hybrid . My wife did one in 2014 in the Titanium version with the Park Assist and loved it. Unfortunately, there were no Titanium versions at the dealer when I bought my Fusion a year later.
How about some of us who never pay Federal taxes because we live outside the States? Can the Feds change that to a point of sale rebate instead so everyone who buys an EV made in the U.S. can enjoy that credit, no matter where they live?
I am not a roadblock! The laws were made to avoid accidents. I did drive a light blue with white stipe Mach-1. I sold it because the rear window was terrible to look back through. Everyone who drives over the speed limit is a assassin waiting for a victim and the real danger.
He did say "step on the gas" twice when he should had said the accelerator.
But I agree that there is no more engine maintenance. After doing it since 1963 on my Dad's Rambler American wagon, and doing it lightly on my 2014 Ford Fusion, I wish to stop checking gasoline engines. So in our...
Because responsible EV manufacturers want their customers to respect speed limits and drive safely. If you want to drive faster, go to a racetrack. Personally, I will NEVER exceed speed limits. I drove a 1967 Chevy Camaro RS and a 1974 Ford Mustang Mach-1 so I know what speed driving is...
Although I just have a 2014 Fusion Hybrid, I can watch a DVD and probably play games in my car. It has direct RCA inputs (yellow for video and red/white for audio) to the infotainment screen, but only works while in "P". The F-150 also has these inputs.
I am sad that the U.S. is still the only nation using the obsolete Imperial System from the old U.K. and many citizens will not learn the Internstionsl Metric System. As an EE I learned the Metric System in 1970 and use it more than the Imperial System. It is extremely easy to learn as there are...
After buying a $40,000 vehicle, the owner will save thousands per year, over $40,000 in a twenty year lifetime, unless they crash it. The initial cost is well justified. Even a basic Ford F-150 Lightning truck will only need tires, wiper blades, and washer fluid in those same twenty years.
I wonder why Ford did not give the Mach-E the same power outlets feature that the hybrid F-150 has or the F-150 Lightning will offer (it will power a home and charge other EVs*). Maybe if a Ford engineer who reads this forum will have this feature added for the 2023 MY which is when I plan to...
If that point gets warm, you may have a small resistance dissipating heat. Check the surfaces of the plug and the outlet. If there is some contaminant such as oxide or sulfide, use a wire brush to polish them. Try a paper nail file inside the outlet contacts. Using an electric contact cleaner...
