Damn, I'm still waiting for Galpin rep to answer my email requesting the upgrade to Premium.

If they won't allow that I have some tough decisions to make. If I have to place a new order it won't be with Galpin.
That's starting to sound like the dealership is trying to take over your order.
I am surprised there are such good reviews for Galpin Ford. I have never been to a worse dealership. They have been extremely rude and unhelpful.

Galpin doesn't do dealer markup on orders but has a high markup on canceled orders. I'm starting to think their nice guy image of no ADM is a ploy to get more people to order - thus more canceled orders.

See what I posted again above. “Ford will automatically convert your order to the closest possible…..”
Agree to disagree. I personally think the standard RWD Premium is closer to the RWD select with the tech/comfort package. This is a game of semantics though.

My dealer is calling me in the morning to tell me if I can switch to a Premium from my Select with Comfort/Tech Package (even with a Standard Range battery). I absolute require the power liftgate and memory seats and CoPilot 360 with BlueCruise. If none of this plays out the way it is suppose to, I am just going to take my $500 and walk and not deal with Ford ever again.

This is so maddening after months of waiting. My family will just make do with the vehicles we own until these supply problems end and we stop celebrating paying MSRP for a vehicle. Anybody remember when you got excited to pay $500 over invoice? My 2019 Nissan Leaf SL was purchased at invoice in February 2020 and delivered from Lake Havasu, Arizona to my home for FREE.
It should be possible to move your existing order to a new dealer. I'm thinking that will be my plan if current dealer won't be cooperative with upgrading my select.

I purchased my last car from Galpin VW and had a good experience, which is why I ordered my Mach-E with Galpin.

There are people on the forum who had a good experience with Galpin, but dealerships can vary so much from salesperson to salesperson.

We'll see what they tell me. If I hear something different I will let you know!

Some of us need cars because leases are due etc. This isn't a realistic sales model to have someone take months to deliver a car then change the car. Why not just build all the 2022 models then switch to 2023.
Our BMW i4 was built and delivered in 3 months from Germany... and Ford can't deliver within North America within 7+ months, good luck with that sales model.
i4 deliveries are supposed to be a year plus. I put an order on a i4 M50 over the weekend and was told a year. This was a fairly big BMW dealership too with i4 and iX demo cars at each location.

However there are numerous cancellation offered to me (at MSRP also) so the situation isn't as dire as Mach-Es where every dealership is marking up abandoned orders by $5K or $10K.

I agree that it is closer.

Did you get notice of what they converted you to yet?

My hope is Ford will give you the option to “upgrade” your order and pay the difference if there is one.

They “upgraded” me to a 47k select. Basically a stock 2023 select at the 2022 price (with tech and comfort package added).

That's all I want is the option to "upgrade". It's only a $1200 difference and I'd gladly pay it at this point.

This does suck, it really does.

But what is the solution?

Ford is building and delivering the cars as fast as they can.

And unfortunately you’re in the back of a very long line. Everyone waiting in the same line as you is in the same situation.

Only real solution is to “skip the line” and pay a high ADM to get a car now. Or just wait in line with everyone else.

Both solutions suck, but what other solution is there? Door 3 is just get out of the line and stand in another long line from another manufacturer.

Rivian? 2 year wait
Cadillac? 2023 sold out
Blazer? 2023 sold out
There are no 2023 Blazer EVs. The Blazer EV is introduced as a 2024 model. Still available to reserve BTW.

They told us that too about long delivery times on i4 but we received our car in 3 months.

I have a feeling Select users will probably just get the difference in base price. 3k off an order take the less features or leave it

It is odd, only 1 person said they got an offer. I have not gotten any email/call about rolling my order.
I didn't get an email from Ford but when I checked my status online, it now says 2023 select instead of a 22. They even changed my color to Vapor Blue since my original order was the Iced Blue. I guess they figured I still wanted some type of blue. I am upset about losing the comfort package. Price is the same.

My dealer is converting my 22 Premium EAWD to 23, my new price is up by $8450, I asked about protection, and they told me, Ford will offer that to me if I am eligible, not sure what that means! I didn't ask because I am sure they don't know.
I am curious if there will be real price protection or not!

You would probably receive a private offer.

Just checked and on my reservations all my orders were changed to 2023 online.
For my select I see a line item charge for 2875 without it showing what it is

  • MUSTANG MACH-E SELECT
    $47,870.00
  • Configured Options
    $2,875.00

    • Primary Electric Motor
    • 100A
    • Space White Metallic
    • Ford Mobile Power Cord
    • ActiveX™ Seating Material Black Onyx
    • Single-Speed Transmission
    • Front License Plate Bracket
    • Configured Options
      $2,875.00
There was a T/C option but its now missing so what am I being charged for?
I got exactly the same thing! What is that $2875?

I am going to have to wait to see what they offer for my 2022 Select w/ CT order.

Really not happy with @Ford Motor Company if I can't get the Ford Options rate & incentive that I locked in on April if I am forced into a 2023.
Just checked my order page and it shows a different color MME, 2023 MY, and no movement on build.

What about the CT option I chose for 2022 that went over to the 2023 - line E146: $2875 fis that the CT option ?
Why is the price the same and not the 2023 pricing?

That’s fair.

But unfortunately (even though you didn’t know this at the time you ordered), the people this affects were far back enough in line that their cars weren’t going to be delivered in 2022 it seems anyways.

At the time they ordered, they should have known there was a chance they wouldn’t get delivery fast enough to get a full $7500 credit.

Still sucks if you’re one of those people who are above the income limit. But that’s the governments fault, Ford has no control over that.
Really? If u ordered in March and it told you 28 weeks we should’ve not expected it this year anyway? Right. Then they should have not taken the orders.
