Congrats! Did your dealer apply Sales Price Protection?

Nope. I brought all the documentation shared on this forum, but no luck. They claimed if Ford reimbursed them, they would pass the $2k along to me. I pointed out that Ford wasn't going to reimburse them for a price protection that they didn't honor. I showed them the contact information the dealer is supposed to use but they were not interested in checking. I won't be going back to them for any service or maintenance.

At this point, as my order still sits on in production with no estimated date of delivery of any sort, it is easier for me to believe this car doesn’t actually exist and this forum is fake and just part of a way too elaborate plot to scam me out of the online order deposit. Because that makes more sense then how long this process has been. My enthusiasm for this new car has been thoroughly killed.

Well, you joined this group back in October, so I assume that's pretty close to when you ordered. I ordered in May. It took a long time before things updated on Fords website. I finally have a built date of March 5th. That's 10 months.

Make sure to give them negative feedback when that email arrives.

I did give the car a rave review, but commented on their failure to honor price protection. The other weird thing was that once we signed all the papers (it was a cash purchase) the sales guy just handed us the keys and said 'Your car is parked out front. Ok, 'bye.' I have never bought a car and not had the sales guy, or someone, spend time going over the car, it's features, letting us check the vehicle, etc. The post purchase survey asks specifically if someone went over all that stuff with us, and I checked 'No' for every item.

I also commented in the review that I got the distinct impression that this dealer has very limited experience with the MME and it was just way outside their comfort zone.

Ugh, sorry to hear that. The dealer should automatically get that $2K within 45 days, so they should have taken $2K off the sale price to match the price you ordered the vehicle for. Really messed up that they wouldn’t even call about it.

Well, I've joined the ranks of those who've received the "built" email from Ford. Based on what I've seen, I won't hold out too much hope that the new estimated delivery date will keep. I'm at least happy to see some movement beyond "scheduled for production the week of 1/3/22." I also know there are people on here who ordered before me that still have not received any updates.

All good, I did the opposite.. I acutally joined forum way before I actually ordered. Was going to pull trigger in March/April and as I kept reading on here I waited more. Then I kept looking at what Tesla was doing to their price since Marchn when I started looking and it was going up and up so finally in August I ordered my MME.

I just checked for you. It showed inactive. It means it has not arrived at United Roads lot

Do you know when information gets loaded in United Road. I see my dealer and can see cars being deivered to them from the Miami consolidation site. Will I only find my VIN in United Road once it gets to miami, they seem to be the last mile for South Florida, but they are not moving the car from KC to Florida??

if your car will be delivered by United Road, it should have inactive status about the same time that your VIN shows up in palsapp. So if you haven’t see your VIN in United road yet, perhaps it won’t be delivered by United road.

I see the VIn just says inactive and only shows Ford Depot Miami and the Dealer name and address,, I was hoping to track it before it gets to Miami. I do see everything delivered to my dealer

If it says inactive, it means car not yet in United road possession. If it says pending pickup without any dates, it means it's in United road lot and ready to be picked up but not yet in line for pickup. Then wait couple hours or a day, it will then say pending pickup with a delivery date to your dealer. Then it will say InRoute until the car is delivered to the dealer.

Thanks, buy when does it show up in United, after KC, or after it gets to Miami. I have userid/w to their system and am only seeing last mile type entries under Metro Ford (my dealer). So when should the United system pick up where my car is? Also do you know why some entries for my dealer have no VIN assigned?
