There is zero reason anyone who has a build date already and anyone who is getting a MY22 should be concerned they won’t get the tax credit. I hate to say it but don’t trust the dealer to be upfront about what qualifies or when it expires. Do your own due diligence. I have a friend who just bought a Focus Hybrid and the dealer told her it qualifies and it’s not a plug in so it doesn’t. She wasn’t planning on it, but still annoying.Ford also has FAILED to inform their people that the TAX Rebate is nearing the end for the $7500. Keep in mind that the FORD COMPANIES previous Plug in Hybrids. This includes as far back as 2012's Ford Focus Electric and 8 years of Ford Fusion. As of May 20th the IRS DID publish that Mach-e still qualified. So if your dealer has you on HOLD complain Demanding Ford publish the current number of the 200,000 are left. You now compete against the Lightening and the E-Transit. TICK TOCK https://www.irs.gov/businesses/irc-30d-new-qualified-plug-in-electric-drive-motor-vehicle-credit
