As promised. Here is a picture of the new girl. Taken in front of the BNSF rail lines around the corner that cut through town.

Need to tint the front windows.

Love it.

Build date 10/27. Batch 8987. Lot 401/690.

Congratulations! Are you going to be back before the end of the year? Can you do paperwork remotely in order not to miss tax credits?
I have been reading and following the 2022 EV tax credit since my 2022 car was getting close to a next year delivery. Below is a good article summarizing The 2022 Tax Credit. (I underlined key points). I’m under the assumption if signed contract in 2022 and picked up in 2023…you should be able to claim the credit against your 2022 taxes. The article is from Kiplinger. Hope it helps.

EV Tax Credit 2022
What happens to the EV tax credit for the rest of 2022? The Inflation Reduction Act offers some relief for EV buyers who have written, binding sales contracts from this year to purchase EVs that will be placed in service or delivered on, or after, August 16, 2022, or in 2023.

Essentially, if you purchased an electric vehicle before the Inflation Reduction Act became effective (so before August 16, 2022), and that vehicle is otherwise eligible for the old EV tax credit, you can claim that credit under the rules that applied before the Inflation Reduction Act became law. That's true even if you don't take possession of the EV until after August 16, 2022. Also, the North American final assembly requirement doesn't apply before August 16, 2022. But remember: You need to have a written, binding sales contract to substantiate your claim for the EV tax credit.

EVs Purchased and Delivered Between August 16, 2022 and December 31, 2022: If you purchase and take possession of your EV between August 16, 2022 and December 31, 2022, the rules for claiming the EV tax credit before the IRA became law, still apply, except that the final assembly requirement applies. So, you'll need to check to see if the EV you purchased meets the final assembly requirement in the Inflation Reduction Act (i.e., is eligible for the EV tax credit).

The key is in the phrase "written, binding sales contract". That's not the same as just an order sheet. It takes more than that to reach that legal bar. So be very careful on that.

That said, it sounds like you will get your vehicle this year anyway, so no worries for you.

Awesome Looking Car Larry!

Every time I hit Ford Chat up they move the date back. Dec 6 to the 12th to the 16th to the 18th, now the 22nd.

Hey@fordmotorcompany can you figure out why you can't find a truck in buffalo to deliver this vehicle? My dealer says they used to use the same truck company every time, now its a total crap shoot. I ordered this car on Jan 14, 2022. At this rate its going to hit the year mark.

How‘d it go? Pick up my MME this Monday 12/19
I can't say enough great things about the car. My experience with the dealer, Rich Ford in Albuquerque was much better than I had feared, actually quite awesome. Of course, I picked up the car on the coldest night of the year - this morning it was 8 degrees.
I took my Porsche loving neighbor for a drive this morning and he loved it. I'm sure he won't give up his Porsches, but he said a lot of very nice things.
I'll post pictures soon.
But seriously, an amazing car, so happy I got it.

Maybe we can get the dealers to hire a truck to go get them? Worth it to guarantee delivery before the end of the year?

My Norfolk Southern status just said RMT. Any idea what means?

It probably said RMTY which means “Returned Empty”. Basically your car is off the train and is now sitting next to mine. No way to get additional status updates at this point until a truck company is selected.

Ah! Thank you. It's Ford who selects it?

This is getting ridiculous. I don’t get how people that ordered 2023 Mach Es in September are getting them when orders placed in January are not delivered yet. This is complete bananas. My car hasn’t moved in weeks. WTF ford.

So was headed to my moms house this morning which drives by the dealership and wouldn’t you know there was a transport truck that had just unloaded my black Mach e! I pulled in and the dealer must have thought I was sleeping in the parking lot. Was pretty funny.

the transport guy told me he has been wandering around a giant parking lot in Buffalo looking for cars he needs to deliver and everything is covered in snow and he couldn’t find a few that he was supposed to bring but he did find mine (after two weeks).

The dealer also said I am the only customer to ever hug the transport guy. Heading back later today to finish the purchase.

19 of 22 tracked vehicles in this group delivered to dealer. Just three left to go. Good luck to all three of you, and I hope you get them before end of year so you can claim them on this year's taxes!
