12V Battery Software Update - Charging Issues

I just got the 12V battery software update over the weekend. Level 2 charger overnight, come out to the vehicle in my garage with the charging fan on the car running very high.
Stopped charging at 75%. Tried charging again today on level 2 and after an hour battery lost 2%.
Anyone else have this issue post 12V battery update?

It's normal for the fan to run during charging. Especially if it's hot in your garage. It will usually run for a couple minutes and shut off (intermittently). To reduce the temps in your garage, try to leave the windows open or run a ventilation fan. Also, schedule your charging to occur at night (after midnight) when temps are cooler instead of the middle of the day.

If you're still concerned the fan is running excessively, check your coolant levels. On early 2023's (without the charge port dimple) there are two coolant bottles, one is above the right front wheel well (under the covers). In some cases the coolant levels are low because the dealer did not fully purge the system after HVBJB replacement.

The high voltage battery losing 2% after charging has finished and sitting a while is normal voltage relaxation.

Good Grief, that is not cool.
I just had the update on Thursday, September 11th. I have not charged the vehicle since then. I will follow up when I charge again. Level 2 Ford Charge Station Pro was installed in February.

What's the number on that 12v battery update? Haven't got mine, yet. Also, even though it's not an issue for me, I've never gotten the update that centers the speedometer....

I applied the update with FDRS last week, no charging issues here. Are you getting any errors in FordPass or the car itself? Sounds like some kind of charge initiation failure.

I am in the UK and the recall safety code is 25S64 had mine done last week on a November 2022 build (MY23)

I had the recall performed last week (3/22 build, MY 22) and no changes in charging that I’ve noticed (have only done L2 at home)

No need to wait for the letter. Just contact your dealer and say you want to book your car in for the 25S65 12V entrapment fix. Had mine done last week.

As of today Ford called and will be sending a tech to do the update for 12volt battery issue.

As of right now, the 25S65/25V04 recall campaign has not been packaged as an OTA. That will be forthcoming in the next few months. Are you sure it wasn't the 25B03 HV Battery charging CSP that you got?
