12v question due to infrequent driving

Thank you! I haven’t gotten that yet in my 2 months of ownership so I think seeing the 12v issue posts had me prematurely worried.

The 12V charging strategy programmed in early cars was really problematic. It’s been greatly improved.

I bought a used 2023.

I've had no problems with my 23.5 maintaining the battery. It will even activate the charger and pull a few hundred watts from the wall to maintain the HVB battery charge state when it activates to charge the LVB when it gets low enough to trigger a charge.

By “early cars” he meant 2021 Job1 cars. The software for 12V management was upgraded for Job2, and further upgraded several times since. While we who have or had 2021 Job2 or newer cars may complain, the ain’t got nuthin’ on the 2021 Job1 peeps (although by now their 12V battery software should have been updated several times). ??

I wonder if you set a departure time and never depart, does the car eventually stop preconditioning for the scheduled departure? Maybe a dumb question.

Yes it does stop. The default setting is 15 minutes
