I have an extension cable from https://toughleads.co.uk/collections/ev-electric-vehicle-extension-leads.
I have a 25 metre cable with RDC and letterbox connector. This has served me well allowing me to charge from holiday homes.

I have used the frunc as a a place to safely store the connection between the extension and the Ford charge lead. I just latch the frunc lid to the first latch and the leads go through the gap. I probably won't do this if the weather is hot as the cable, if left coiled, gets warm in the frunc.

The extension socket is sealed and I have used it outside with no problems where needed.

I have the same cable and agree it's a really well made option when you're finding yourself further from a socket, and the letterbox connection is a really good idea.

I'd just add though that I always fully unravel the cable before I'm using it. Coiled extension cables are a giant heating element and with a large usage like car charging could be a fire hazard.

Yes I am aware of that.

I think it is things like that which cause Ford and others to say not to use extension cables for EVs. The public cannot be told you can use an extension without a comprehensive list of do's and don't's.
Tough leads have a good write up about the use of extension cables.

While I haven't needed to use it yet, I just got a few inexpensive long-neck locks and a heavy security cable to keep with my charger. The security cable can just be looped through a tire spoke (or around the tire footprint on the ground), then locked onto the charger cable.

I didn't really want to leave my frunk cracked open.

The car was parked in a relatively safe area every time I've used the frunc trick.
I also have cable and good padlock however I guess if someone is really determined they will nick what they want. I wouldn't tackle anyone having a go at my lock with an angle grinder! :)
