Do these updates happen in some sort of Chronological order? You folks are all talking about a 6.14 and the last update I got was April 5 about a 6.2.0 Is this a power update that's different than what you guys are talking about?

Yes and no.

The 6.x updates were coming out in a nice numerical sequence, then problems were found. Many of the 6.x updates were recoded and released as PU updates. The rough sequence of public release in the 6.x and related updates can be found here:

Remember that the first news of updates on here comes from Early Access Program members who may get updates long before the rest of the owners, especially if there is a problem during the initial release.

Oh ok. I am not even sure If 6.2.0 is ahead or behind 6.14. I came to Ford from having owned a Tesla for the past 3.5 years and the updates were pretty simple. Tesla would release an update with a numeric sequence that represented the year of release, the week number of the year, and the revision number. How hard is it for Ford to come up with something similar? Everyone would be able to easily determine how far behind they are but with Ford I see they made it quite complicated. :(

Two other important subtleties to keep in mind about what you may hear regarding Early Access:
  • Not everyone in Early Access will receive the same software at the same time. For example, vehicle configurations change from year to year so, just because they may have 9.4.2 ready for MY 26 doesn’t mean they have it ready for MY 22
  • Along the lines of the above, it’s always possible that some people who are NOT in EA will get a later version of software before some EA members. Again, this is partly due to the above (I’m sure there are other reasons I’m not privy to).

It seems like they want a system that is so convoluted that owners will lose track on what updates have been received.
Updates that my mme received after I bought it used to be stored in the message center on fp but they stopped that and now only your last ota is visible.

Is Ford still sending 6.14 out, though? From what i've heard on this forum Ford halted the OTA at some point and my Mach E hasn't gotten it. Mine has been pretty good at getting the update about a week after the first people here announce they got an update, and I haven't gotten anything since the Supercharger update back in early march.
Same

You have read this sticky post about Ford's OTAs, right?

I kind of find it funny because they’ll communicate about anything except BlueCruise but they’ll sure advertise BlueCruise even though they’re nearly an entire year past their initial promised date for 1.3 - I guess anything to distract from that.
Yeah I don't understand why they expect any of us to pay that insane renewal cost when they won't even push the updates for it.

This is just describing 6.14. It's been out for a while now.
From the chatter on this forum, it seems that a lot of '23s (mine included) have not had an OTA update since early March when we received the Tesla charging access update. Perhaps this is the reason to re-announce it.

Yep, my last update was March 8 which was 23-PU1113-UNX-DC "Refinements have been made to help improve connectivity". Then radio silence....

Yes, another with zero updates since Tesla update with a new 23 from December. I have tried changing different update times, been on strong WiFi, took off the WiFi so only the ATT modem has five bars. Nothing.
