Mustang Mach-E 2021 Select RWD Extended Range
Hi,
I have recently bought a 2021 used Mach-E last week (Italy)
This car is sold from a third-party seller that send the car to Ford for some check
I know that they check the 12V battery and the health of the car, without any issues.
When I received it, I saw that there was a Ford Power-Up update installed, but I don't remember the version.
After that, I had a problem with FordPass, because the old owner didn't remove the car from his Ford account.
When I resolved that issue, I reset the car from the infotainment to reconfigure all with my preferences but I saw that the software version is pretty old (about 2023 if I'm right):
Updated 06/16/2025
SYNC Generation SYNC 4
SYNC Version 4.0.23291

Last update that I can see from my account is:

Ford Power-Up
06/16/2025
Smart Changes.

Just a quick note to let you know some refinements have been made.

These will make your vehicle better prepared to receive future updates that are more complex.
Priority Update 23-PU0314-DCM-LAT

It isn't the last available version for 2021 Mach-E, am I right?
If I'm right, what I need to do to resolve this issue?
I also already used FORScan to enable the mirror tilt in reverse and the power meter (but the last one doesn't work)

Thank you in advance
Sorry for my bad English :)

Your SYNC Version 4.0.23291 was released with OTA 6.2.1 which is pretty old but the 2021 Mach-E in EU has received only two further SYNC updates, the latest is 24269, but there were other OTA module updates till now.
The OTA 23-PU0314-DCM-LAT is also old but probably your car has not been driven regularly by the previous owner or was parked by the seller for some time, as the car receives the OTA updates when is regularly driven and connected to the Ford Connected Services.
The updates are deployed by Ford randomly for VIN sets, so you can only drive and wait for them or you could get some module pending updates made by the dealer but these are not the same as the OTA updates.
The power meter works on MY21 only after OTA 6.8.0 but now, after OTA 10.2.0 it works partially.

Then it’s normal that power meter doesn’t work with my SYNC version, because is too old, correct?
The car stayed about 1 month to the reseller and I don’t know how the old owner used the car :(
I also know that newer version has integration with battery % in Apple CarPlay, correct? Because at the Moment it doesn’t work with Apple Maps

I use it daily for few km but I still haven’t any update.. I have to bring it to Ford directly or it’s better waiting?
I’m a bit angry about this argument, because I love this car very much, but I have this problem and also a problem with IPC whine and suspension too soft

It's normal that power meter and % in CarPlay do not work, they have been enabled after more recent OTA updates.
If you have some problems you can get updates at the dealer to fix them if a module update is available but they could charge you the job.

I heard about that
How much they could charge for an update? I’m scared about that
I’m also scared about Ford which could telo me that the car have no updates..

Once, they charged me 75 € for a 1.5 hour update (that's the duration they told me), but sometimes they do the job for free, it depends on the dealer.
Don't worry, the updates will come to your car, just wait, sometimes months can pass between updates.

If the charge is about or less 100€, I prefer to do it to the dealer to speed up the process
In Italy the 2021 Mach-E supports even BlueCruise 1.3, am I wrong?
It's a shame that an electric car in 2025 have this kind of problem IMO
Before this car I had a Model 3 for about 3 weeks, and it's another world for OTAs..

In Italy we received the BlueCruise 1.1E update also on 2021 models (OTA 24.2.1.6.2) but it is activated only for models starting from 2024 according to the Italian regulation. I hope it will be extended soon.

In USA 2021 Mach-E has 1.3... Nice!
At the moment, if I could have SOC on Apple CarPlay it'll be very good

Yes, they don’t see any updates in FDRS. Ford says updates are blocked and they working to fix it. Many people have this issue on 2021 MY.

It's my main fear that they doesn't see any update..
I'd like to try to do FDRS procedure myself or find some way to update via FORScan..
