I would not have purchased the renewal if I knew I would be stuck with the existing package for this long.
Yes, there is some degree of shame on me for hoping the update would come. However, at the end of our subscription earlier this year, we were given the impression that our price would not be valid if we let it expire.
So here I am, wasting my money on a product I don't want, hoping that the promised update comes...
I'm sorry you feel that way. I have a Job 1 my 2021, I paid for my BC renewal when it came due, and wow, when I use the system, it lets me drive hands-free. It's nice on long freeway drives. The only thing it doesn't do that the new system supposedly does is auto-lane change. It's not a burden to drive the car, in my opinion.

In the same boat here, EA member. Purchased BC subscription, still on 1.2. No updates for more than 60 days, It would be nice to think those of us that helped launch the Mach E, suffered through bugs, glass and roof recall, bad brake pads, HVJB recall. then purchased when the vehicle our Ford Options period ended, would receive some form of gratitude and special care. We were the first line answering questions and showing off the new kid on the block to show a viable elon option. I know of at least one purchase from my recommendation.
Get with it Ford, take care of the early adopters, especially those that have remained loyal.

So it does not work in your car? Or you just don't have "the latest and greatest?"
I have 1.0. I use it some times. But I’ve been waiting over a year for 1.3 with basically no info.

Yeah, they wiggled that $600 for three years at me, but I'm not. biting until I see 1.3 or 1.4 and decide if that's what I really want.

1.0? is not ready for prime-time...

Same with my 2021 job 1. No updates of any kind since May.

I do certainly get where everyone is coming from but ford is exceedingly conservative with this car and you all are heading out of warranty....I would be treading so carefully. They brick all the out of warranty 21's with an ota lol.

First off, I'm no fan of subscriptions!!! That being said, I paid the $600 for 3 years as I also had the impression Ford would continue to update my 2021 Job 1 car. I am still hoping that happens. Why Ford won't just come out and give us an update is my bigger beef!!!

I used my BC 1.0 (1.2) this weekend on a trip from ATL to Gainseville FL and it was great. Works much better at night than the day as the street markings are easier for the car to see without the glare of the sun.

Would I have paid the $600 knowing we may not get an update? Unsure.......

Am I wrong or did Ford not include the 2021's in their post when they announced the pushing of 1.3 OTAs?

I agree they haven't updated the 2021s. I have a 21 job 1 and I haven't receive an update since June. I'm thankful for the people on this forum that looked up my Vin and told me that I needed a new gateway update before a new Sync update shows up. I'm a few revision behind on Sync at this point. I don't know how to get those updates via OTA

yeah, we’re all stuck in purgatory. Hopefully Ford can figure out what bottleneck needs to be solved so 2021 Job 1 & 2 cars can get back up to speed.

I re-upped BC at the end of last year because “it’s coming soon”. Not thrilled about this Ford.
This is a bit on you, to be honest. If you made that decision and spent the money based on a "coming soon" thing, that was your call, not Ford's.

There's a common notion in anything tech to not make decisions based on promised or unreleased features. It holds really true in smartphones and things like that but it can definitely hold just as true for most modern cars with how much tech and software is required to run them.

Of course, if you're OK using the 1.0 you have and that's in some way worth the money you spent, then fine. But Ford isn't really to blame for what you spent hoping 1.3 would be just around the corner.

Is there a significant hardware and/or software difference between 2021, 2022, 2023?
There were also significant changes between 2021 Job 1 and Job 2 cars.

My 2021 runs great and doesn't need any updates and I am fine with that. Updates can sometimes make things worse.
If your car isn't waiting for an update, Why should anyone care that someone else got an update if their car doesn't need or require it?
