I don't know if this is true or not, but I've had few dealers tell me they have to list them publicly for regulatory reasons when I've asked why they still have the listing up for sold vehicles.

This is false. They can be removed as soon as the customer drives the vehicle off the lot. Mach-E is hot and getting clicks so they keep them up.

Reached out to the inventory manager at my dealership yesterday. Was told anything that does not have a scheduled production date is getting converted to a 2022. Expecting a call back next week to confirm any changes wanted or needed. Confirmed I will not lose my place in line but it would add delay given the factories would take time to prepare for the new model. He couldn’t yet confirm original pricing would be honored, though I can’t imagine accepting a price hike after the order was accepted.

Considering the ongoing microchip shortage, anticipate waiting for a '23 then be happy when you get a '22.

It's interesting that the 2022 Production Start Up date coincides with my 2021 production date. I wonder which of these, if either, is accurate.

I call BS. If they can get a 2022 car into production in 2 months, why are we waiting 3 or 4?

If that's accurate, I'll cancel my 5/3 order and place an order on 9/27 and get a 2022 model built in November instead of waiting til September for a 2021.

Who is they, when you started order on line or the dealership itself?

Because the initial MY22 production is going to the folks who placed MY21 orders that were not yet scheduled for production at the time MY22 order books opened. All those MY21 orders were rolled by Ford to MY22 orders, and all received an email from Ford saying, among other things, that their place-in-line was intact.
