What if I sell the Premium we’ve had for a month to buy the 2023?

The new 2023 pricing is about $7500 more for a Premium. Rebate would be only $3250 in 2023. Doesn’t make financial sense to me. Plus resale pricing is going down.

I have one currently being produced and should be delivered by the middle of December.

Believe it or not, we’d make 5500 selling the Premium we just picked up.

You're not getting this.

No one on this forum works for the IRS.

The IRS information is quite clear, totally non-ambiguous, it's posted in post #4.

You, can choose to interpret that information as you see fit. The IRS can then choose to take action, or not take action, as they see fit, based on whatever it is you end up doing. If you don't agree with their proposed action (assuming they try to disallow the credit), you can go through the process with them, perhaps go to Tax Court, and see where it ends up.

But posting "what if it's a month" or "what if I don't like the car" is simply a waste of time. I can say all day long "of course it's reasonable to buy a car, not like it, and sell it a month later" but that doesn't mean you're entitled to a tax credit - unless the IRS says you are.

The IRS needs to change the system. Perhaps one EV tax credit every two years per person or family. Until that is changed, many people will take advantage of this.

The IRS needs to be disbanded ....... it's legalized thievery !
We need a flat tax rate for everyone.....no exceptions !
