Add an order to ford.com account

Is it possible to add a car ordered at the dealership to my ford.com account so I can just monitor everything in one place? I have one that I ordered online that shows up via ford.com, but one that I ordered at a dealership which does not.

Didn’t work for me when I ordered mine from the dealership last Sept. I did get notification from Ford on line as soon as the dealership entered it into the system but that was it.

Honestly, other than getting a vin and build date without asking, it tells you nothing of value. One tracking site says mine is shipped but doesn't show the date or even a check box. The other just says estimated delivery which mine now shows as blank.

I'd just reach out to ford a month or two after your order to see if they can pull the info or text your dealer to get the VVR. It's been nice to have on my side, but honestly has caused more headache at this point. I would have been blissfully unaware of the issues and the missed deadlines.

I sent the Ford account on here a message asking the same thing the other day. Here's the response I got:

Good morning and thank you for reaching out to us! This is a great question for the Sales Manager at your purchasing Ford dealership. They are in the best position to address your questions and concerns, and we recommend staying in close contact with them. Umm... WHY would I need the link to locate my dealer when I literally walked into it to place the order? ?‍
