2023 AWD Premium factory reset?

anyone tried a full factory reset? I still don't get updates (over a year now) and now Phone as a Key is messed up and the profiles are. I was planning to delete all profiles, phone as a key and do a factory reset, then leave the LVB off over night...and re-setup the car tomorrow. thoughts?

Factory reset is overkill unless you’re selling the vehicle. There are lots of things that’ll need to be setup again or may not work for a certain period. Be careful when doing this.

I would simply reset PaaK, reset profiles, disconnect the battery for a free minutes to reset modules, and setup profiles then PaaK.

Settings > General > Reset > Phone As A Key Reset on the SYNC screen

A factory reset won’t do anything for OTA’s. My 2023 hasn’t had an update since September. Does it say an update failed or are none shown as pending? You can post your VIN in the thread below to have someone look and see if you’re missing an update.

thanks for the reply -- Factory updates haven't happened since June of 2025. The last time it was at a dealer they said the updates kept failing and they replaced some kind of communication module...but it just says "no updates available" on the screen under Software updates.

Reception of OTAs is kind of a crap shoot. My 2024 GT just got its first OTA update. Summer of 2025 isn’t that long ago in Ford’s OTA cycle.
