I purchased black knobs for my wife’s 2023. Love them, when I went to get some for my 2024 it said that the gearshift knob was not comparable for the 2024. So, I have great volume and light knobs but a stock gearshift. Is there a black metal aftermarket one? Did I just miss it searching?

5 spurs says theirs work on the 2024. I guess I need to pull off my wife’s and try it. But I’m sure others have a good reason to why it doesn’t fit the 2024.

@markboris just got a 2024. Perhaps he can speak to the changes in the knobs? ??

Hey Anthony, they fit. I just installed the kit of all 3 in satin black on Joe's 2024 last month. I ordered a set for myself a couple of days ago and hopefully will have them by Wednesday. If not, I'm leaving for Europe right after Thanksgiving for a few days so might be a couple of weeks before I try them on my car. I have a later built (October 7) '24 compared to Joe's July 2nd but don't think there is a difference. I just talked to Kevin today about some GT500 parts, and will ask if he has had issues.

The AOSK do not fit correctly on the 24. There is a gap between the new knob cover and the old because the knob cover can’t be pushed down all the way. EV-Vida confirmed the knob in the 24 is slightly different size and they are working on a version for the 24.

It looks like the confusion here is we are talking about two different companies that make these dial covers/crowns. The ones I use and actually helped design with Kevin, are from his company 5 SPURS and they do fit the gear shift dial on the '24 model year Mach-E. I have personally installed them myself so I know they fit.

The EV-Vida dial covers/crowns are differently designed and do not fit over the slightly different '24 gear shifter dial. As Roy mentioned above, they are working on a version that will fit the '24's.

Yes they are expensive but they are completely different than the EV-Vida (AOSK) covers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the AOSK covers. They look and work ver well.

I helped Kevin (5 SPURS) originally create these covers for the 2015-2023 Mustang and 2020-2023 GT500. When the Mach-E came out in 2021, I helped him with those too. There are several differences between the two different covers. While they look similar, once they are in your hands, they feel very different.

The 5 SPURS is aircraft aluminum and anodized. AOSK are zinc alloy and painted. 5 SPURS are a satin finish and the anodized colors that are available closely match the exterior colors of the Mach-E. It was especially time consuming trying to get the copper/bronze color correct that the GT (not GTPE) interior has. John (JohnFoxeSheets) also helped with this. Kevin will make them in any custom color for a price. AOSK are a gloss finish and don't match the exterior Mach-E colors as well. The 5 SPURS covers are an exact replica of the Ford GT supercar dials. The angles, edging and thickness of the fins around the covers are the same as the Ford GT. AOSK covers are a similar design but not exact. The 5 SPURS covers have an edgy almost sharp feel to them just like the Ford GT. The AOSK covers are softer on the fingers when using them.

Attaching them is also different. The 5 SPURS covers come with 3M double sided tacky adhesive rings that you attach the cover with. They are a little bit of a pain to put on but Kevin gives you several in case you mess up. You peel the paper off one side off the adhesive ring and place it on the top edge of the dial and press down, then peel the other paper off and place the cover over the dial. They will NOT come off unless you use a good amount of force. The AOSK covers are press fit. This is the reason that they do not fit over the '24 gear shift dial since it was slightly changed.

Again, there is nothing wrong with the AOSK dial covers. For what they are and cost, they are a great value. I know many members that have them and love them. Like most things you have the value line and the higher end and the 5 SPURS are that higher end. The design is more refined and has a more beautiful kind of high-tech finish. All the developing, manufacturing, anodizing, packaging and shipping is done under Kevin's control in the UK and I'm sure that is where the cost comes in.

That’s pretty awesome, but I don’t see my self spending 4x more, even though the 5spurs is much better

I can confirm that the fit is not correct. I ordered one to take a chance on it. But....the fit isn't bad enough to make it worthless. I'm going to roll with it. The gap is about a 1mm. If AOSK releases one for the 2024 I'll get it. But this will work for right now and matches the volume and the light knob I have.

I just received the volume and gear shift knobs from AOSK today. I was surprised that they were as nice as they are, considering the conservative pricing.

But I should mention that while the volume knob seemed to have pressed on all the way to the inside shoulder, the gearshift knob fit exactly as you show on your 2024.

My GTPE is a 2023.5
Is it possible that Ford actually made the slight change during the 2023 Job2 run of cars, rather than 2024 Job1?

Regardless, I really like the feel of the cover knobs. And black looks better than silver did, in my opinion.

(sorry about the lack of clarity in the photo, but it's the similar gap as your photo above)

I think it could be possible. But I’m just guessing. My wife’s 2023 was not a .5 and it fits perfect. I agree with the quality. Love them. Even with the gap, it looks good. When they make a 2024 I’ll buy that too.

I have a 2024 gt and used the old version shift knob. Trick was to use a dremel wire wheel and sander and remove existing black tape from inside and replace with 3 small pieces of supplied tape 1/4'' space evenly towards the inside on bottom side of wheel.
