2024 Premium Software Version(s)

Have a new 2024 for about a month now. How do I find out what software version the car is running. Can’t see anything under updates in the car or on the app and nothing under the ford software website when I enter my VIN. Still don’t have the ability to change climate setting remotely like some have.

You can't.

All you can do is post your VIN in this thread and see if you have any outstanding updates:

Your car doesn't have a "current version" since it's made up of various modules that can all be at different versions.

Coming from one 2021 to another and missing some features it's difficult to accept it considering it's basically the same car (upgraded from a rwd premium to an all wheel drive premium but lacking updates)

The main one is where Google maps when using Android Auto would show battery % upon arrival. The climate settings when remote starting were nice but whatever... And seems like the Blue Cruise/LKA/ADAPTIVE CRUISE isn't a smart as it was before

Same with this Mach E I bought, oddly enough my other 21 Mach E premium was getting updates including the climate one you mentioned and I just bought that one in November

My 2021 went months before it saw any OTA updates come to it. I have had zero OTAs on my 2024 (I am just short of 90 days with it). If you are one of the people who absolutely, positively has to have all of the various modules updated to the latest version, you need to invest in an FDRS rig (Windows computer with 6th gen I5 or better, Mongoose Plus interface, 100A regulated automotive power supply, fast USB SSD). Otherwise, you are at the mercy of Ford’s obscure OTA packages delivery system and you will never be fully up to date. ?‍?

Probably would be cheaper to pay a dealer for me... Or live with it being out of date and complain every day lol... If I hadn't experienced it wouldn't be as bad, and it doesn't make sense that ours don't get it

Depending on which modules and how many you have images for, the cost of dealer labor for one update session with FDRS could exceed $1,000. Two sessions most likely would exceed that amount. You can buy the necessary hardware for that, and there are some people on the forum who will loan a Mongoose out. Or, you can find someone near you who has an FDRS rig and bribe them with doughnuts. ??
