I'll preface this by saying I'm new to electric vehicles and not overly mechanically inclined. I've searched forums/manuals, etc. but come up empty. So, here goes:

- 240V dedicated 50A circuit to garage
- Plug in mobile charger, plug in car
- Wall unit is pulsating blue
- Car is solid blue (not pulsing) and then eventually goes dark
- Set charging times to anytime to see if I can get it to work
- Plugged car into 120V and seems to charge fine
- Plugged into charger at dealership, seems to charge fine
- Could there be an issue with the 240V connector? Every other component I've been able to verify works, I just can't test that part easily.
- Any ideas?

Thanks!

I would verify your 240V outlet is wired correctly.

Get a meter and check the outlet. There needs to be a good ground in addition to power for the charger to work. Or call an electrician to check it.

If you're using the Ford Mobile Charger, please make sure the 240V plug is pushed in all the way. If it is - check your outlet/breaker for correct wiring.

Thanks everybody, I appreciate the responses. I think I'll have the electrician verify the wiring. It's the Ford Mobile Charger that came with the Mach-E.

Ford is having a bad month.

The 12V, the charger and now a Bronco recall for loose bolts.

Have you verified that the adapter with the plug on it is fully inserted into the mobile charger? The plug's molded connector should be inserted far enough so it is flush with the body of the mobile charger.

Agree - I think there's a bulletin out there that states you have to ensure it's fully inserted into the mobile charger.

Yes, it's flush.
OK, then it's got to be the outlet. Maybe he didn't wire the neutral and the mobile charger checks/needs 110v?

If you can take your charger to a friend's house or a campground or someone on PlugShare that has a charger list, and try it out. Just verify it works or not. This will check the box of "it's the charger" or "it's not the charger." When your electrician shows up you can tell him it's not the charger so fix it, please.
