I'm no electrician, but I think the chance of something being wrong with the charger is way more likely. I mean I suppose you could have a jacked up breaker, or maybe a cable did not get put on tightly on the charger terminal. For the most part, an outlet works or it doesn't.
Yep, 79.5% chance it's the EVSE. 19.5% it's the car. 1% it's anything else.

Yup, that's the same thing my electrician said when he installed my outlet "it works or it doesn't".

I had a problem with my vehicle charging when I first received it. It would charge fine on an L3 Charger, but it was error anytime I tried to use an L1/L2 charger. Turns out my battery management module had to get replaced.

So, I had a weird issue with my chargepoint home flex myself last weekend, it just randomly stopped charging. It wound up being that the dang thing locked up software wise and as a safety it dropped the contactor. I killed the breaker, waited 30 and flipped it back on. I know its not the same, but I wonder if its heat related.

Check the allowed charging times on the EVSE and other settings. They can be set on both the Mach E and likely the the EVSE and both have to be at an approved time... Also on my juicebox has an option to not charge completely, which would be good if the Mach E didn't have such an option built-in and you only want to charge to 80% or 90%, etc... but the juicebox doesn't "know" the current charge (unless you dial it each time) and it thought I had more charge than I did and stopped charging for that reason once. I now have the juicebox set to always charge to 100% (charge % limit on the Mach E) but limit TOD charging on both.

probably more likely a fault with the portable EVSE. not the actual charger which resides in the vehicle.

You may try some other ChargePoint chargers, we have them in the parks, hotels, and condos.
I also get amber charging fault from time to time with my Grizzl-e. I noticed when the car stopped charging but then I enter my garage it wakes up and I can see it starts drawing about 1A current. If I attempt to disconnect at that point it will light the amber indicator. At the same time the app is saying that the charging stopped.
