I think they need to get the Equinox, Blazer, and Silverado EVs out first, and are short on batteries, so... Definitely not before 2025. Which means it will probably have NACS. Should be interesting.

I love how they give the EV battery system a cool name like 'Ultium', and delcare on their website that it is"is a game-changing electric vehicle platform", but it's just pouch batteries in a tray at the bottom of the vehicle... like the Mach-E. Gotta love those marketing guys!

The Ultium platform in the Hummer and Silverado are cool because the two trays can switch between parallel and series. That means that they can operate at 400V for normal operation, and switch to 800V for charging. But the single tray of batteries in the Equinox, Blazer, Lyriq, and (presumably) new Bolt can't do that, so I'm not sure what's so special about them.

Not bad, at all. My only negative is that the vertical rise on the nose looks excessively tall. I’m sure it that way for functional reasons, it just looks out of proportion.

GM said in their 3rd quarter earnings call that the 2nd gen Bolt will have LFP batteries.

New update: only the Bolt EUV will return on the Ultium platform for its 2nd generation. The smaller Bolt EV is dead.
